1 ਹੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਨਾਲ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਦਬਕਾ ਨਾ ਦੇ, ਨਾ ਆਪਣੇ ਤੇਜ ਕੋਪ ਨਾਲ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਤਾੜ।
2 ਹੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਮੇਰੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਦਯਾ ਕਰ ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਮੈ ਕੁਮਲਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹਾਂ, ਹੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਮੈਨੂੰ ਚੰਗਾ ਕਰ ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਮੇਰੀਆਂ ਹੱਡੀਆਂ ਬੇਚੈਨ ਹਨ।
3 ਮੇਰੀ ਜਾਨ ਵੀ ਅੱਤ ਘਬਰਾਈ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਤੂੰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਕਦੋਂ ਤੱਕ?
4 ਹੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਮੁੜ ਆ, ਮੇਰੀ ਜਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਛੁਡਾ, ਆਪਣੀ ਦਯਾ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਬਚਾ,
5 ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਮੌਤ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਤੇਰਾ ਸਿਮਰਨ ਨਹੀਂ, ਪਤਾਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੌਣ ਤੇਰਾ ਧੰਨਵਾਦ ਕਰੇਗਾ?
6 ਮੈਂ ਧਾਹਾਂ ਮਾਰਦਾ-ਮਾਰਦਾ ਥੱਕ ਗਿਆ, ਸਾਰੀ ਰਾਤ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਵਿਛਾਉਣੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਹੜ੍ਹ ਵਗਾ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਆਪਣੇ ਹੰਝੂਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣਾ ਮੰਜਾ ਭਿਉਂਦਾ ਹਾਂ।
7 ਮੇਰੀਆਂ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਸੋਗ ਦੇ ਮਾਰੇ ਗਲ਼ ਗਈਆਂ, ਉਹ ਮੇਰੇ ਵਿਰੋਧੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਚੁੰਨ੍ਹੀਆਂ ਹੋ ਗਈਆਂ ਹਨ।
8 ਹੇ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਸਾਰੇ ਕੁਕਰਮੀਓ, ਮੇਰੇ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਦੂਰ ਹੋ ਜਾਓ, ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਰੋਣ ਦੀ ਅਵਾਜ਼ ਸੁਣ ਲਈ ਹੈ,
9 ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਸੁਣ ਲਈ ਹੈ, ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਮੇਰੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਕਬੂਲ ਕਰੇਗਾ।
10 ਮੇਰੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਵੈਰੀ ਲੱਜਿਆਵਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਅੱਤ ਵਿਆਕੁਲ ਹੋਣਗੇ, ਉਹ ਮੁੜ ਜਾਣਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਅਚਾਨਕ ਲੱਜਿਆਵਾਨ ਹੋ ਜਾਣਗੇ।
