1 ਮੈਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਵੱਲ ਆਪਣੀ ਅਵਾਜ਼ ਨਾਲ ਦੁਹਾਈ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਮੈਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਵੱਲ ਆਪਣੀ ਅਵਾਜ਼ ਨਾਲ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ,
2 ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੀ ਫ਼ਰਿਆਦ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣਾ ਦੁੱਖ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਖੋਲ੍ਹ ਕੇ ਦੱਸਦਾ ਹਾਂ।
3 ਜਦ ਮੇਰਾ ਆਤਮਾ ਮੇਰੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਨਢਾਲ ਸੀ, ਤਾਂ ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰੀ ਚਾਲ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਸੀ। ਜਿਸ ਰਾਹ ਮੈਂ ਚੱਲਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਫਾਹੀ ਲਾਈ ਹੈ।
4 ਨਿਗਾਹ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਸੱਜੇ ਪਾਸੇ ਵੇਖ, ਕਿ ਮੇਰਾ ਸਿਆਣੂ ਕੋਈ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ, ਮੇਰੀ ਪਨਾਹ ਜਾਂਦੀ ਰਹੀ, ਮੇਰੀ ਜਾਨ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਛਣ-ਗਿੱਛਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਕੋਈ ਨਹੀਂ!
5 ਹੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਦੁਹਾਈ ਦਿੰਦਾ, ਮੈਂ ਆਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰੀ ਪਨਾਹ ਹੈਂ, ਜੀਉਂਦਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਮੇਰਾ ਭਾਗ।
6 ਮੇਰੇ ਚਿੱਲਾਉਣ ਉੱਤੇ ਧਿਆਨ ਦੇ, ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਮੈਂ ਬਹੁਤ ਅਧੀਨ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹਾਂ, ਮੇਰੇ ਪਿੱਛਾ ਕਰਨ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਛੁਡਾ, ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਓਹ ਮੈਥੋਂ ਬਲਵਾਨ ਹਨ!
7 ਮੇਰੀ ਜਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਕੈਦ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਕੱਢ, ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਧੰਨਵਾਦ ਕਰਾਂ, ਧਰਮੀ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਣ ਘੇਰਨਗੇ, ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਉਪਕਾਰ ਕਰੇਂਗਾ!।
