1 ਜੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਸਾਡੀ ਵੱਲ ਨਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ, ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਇਹ ਆਖੇ,
2 ਜੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਉਸ ਵੇਲੇ ਸਾਡੇ ਵੱਲ ਨਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ, ਜਦ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਸਾਡੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਉੱਠੇ,
3 ਤਾਂ ਓਹ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਜਿਉਂਦਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਿਗਲ ਲੈਂਦੇ, ਜਦੋਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਕ੍ਰੋਧ ਸਾਡੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਭੜਕ ਉੱਠਿਆ,
4 ਤਾਂ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਪਾਣੀ ਰੋੜ੍ਹ ਲੈ ਜਾਂਦੇ, ਅਤੇ ਨਾਲਾ ਸਾਡੀ ਜਾਨ ਦੇ ਉੱਤੋਂ ਦੀ ਵਗ ਜਾਂਦਾ,
5 ਤਾਂ ਠਾਠਾਂ ਮਾਰਦਾ ਪਾਣੀ ਸਾਡੀ ਜਾਨ ਦੇ ਉੱਤੋਂ ਦੀ ਲੰਘ ਜਾਂਦਾ!
6 ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਮੁਬਾਰਕ ਹੋਵੇ, ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਦੰਦਾਂ ਦਾ ਸ਼ਿਕਾਰ ਨਾ ਹੋਣ ਦਿੱਤਾ!
7 ਸਾਡੀ ਜਾਨ ਚਿੜ੍ਹੀ ਵਾਂਗੂੰ ਚਿੜ੍ਹੀਮਾਰ ਦੀ ਫਾਹੀ ਤੋਂ ਛੁਡਾਈ ਗਈ, ਫਾਹੀ ਟੁੱਟੀ, ਸਾਡੀ ਜਾਨ ਛੁੱਟੀ।
8 ਸਾਡੀ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੈ, ਜਿਹੜਾ ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਅਤੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਦਾ ਕਰਤਾ ਹੈ।
