1 ਹੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਬਚਾ ਲੈ ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਧਰਮੀ ਜਨ ਮੁੱਕ ਗਏ ਹਨ, ਅਤੇ ਆਦਮੀ ਦੀ ਸੰਤਾਨ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਵਫ਼ਾਦਾਰ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ।
2 ਉਹ ਇੱਕ ਦੂਜੇ ਨਾਲ ਝੂਠ ਬੋਲਦੇ ਹਨ, ਅਤੇ ਚੋਪੜੇ ਬੁੱਲ੍ਹਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਦੋ-ਦਿਲੀ ਨਾਲ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ।
3 ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਸਾਰੇ ਚੋਪੜੇ ਬੁੱਲ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਾਲੇ ਉਸ ਜੀਭ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਵੱਡੇ ਬੋਲ ਬੋਲਦੀ ਹੈ, ਵੱਢ ਸੁੱਟੇਗਾ।
4 ਜਿਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਅਸੀਂ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਜੀਭਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਜਿੱਤਾਂਗੇ। ਸਾਡੇ ਬੁੱਲ੍ਹ ਸਾਡੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਹੀ ਹਨ, ਕੌਣ ਸਾਡਾ ਮਾਲਕ ਹੈ?
5 ਮਸਕੀਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਅਨ੍ਹੇਰੇ ਅਤੇ ਕੰਗਾਲਾਂ ਦੀ ਠੰਡੀ ਆਹ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ, ਹੁਣ ਮੈਂ ਉੱਠਾਂਗਾ, ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ, ਮੈਂ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਬਚਾਓ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੱਖਾਂਗਾ ਜਿਹ ਦੇ ਲਈ ਉਹ ਹੌਂਕਦਾ ਹੈ।
6 ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਬਚਨ ਪਾਕ ਬਚਨ ਹਨ, ਉਸ ਚਾਂਦੀ ਵਰਗੇ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਭੱਠੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਤਾਈ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ, ਅਤੇ ਸੱਤ ਵਾਰੀ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ।
7 ਹੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਕਰੇਂਗਾ, ਤੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਪੀੜੀ ਤੋਂ ਸਦਾ ਤੱਕ ਬਚਾਈ ਰੱਖੇਂਗਾ।
8 ਦੁਸ਼ਟ ਚਾਰ ਚੁਫ਼ੇਰੇ ਫੁੱਲੇ ਫਿਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਜਦ ਆਦਮ ਵੰਸ਼ ਦੀ ਨਖਿੱਧਤਾਈ ਦੀ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਹੁੰਦੀ ਹੈ।
