1 ਹਲਲੂਯਾਹ! ਧੰਨ ਹੈ ਉਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਭੈਅ ਮੰਨਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਹੁਕਮਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਹੁਤ ਮਗਨ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
2 ਉਹ ਦੀ ਅੰਸ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਬਲਵਾਨ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ, ਸਚਿਆਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਪੀੜ੍ਹੀ ਮੁਬਾਰਕ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ।
3 ਧਨ ਦੌਲਤ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਦਾ ਧਰਮ ਸਦਾ ਤੱਕ ਬਣਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
4 ਸਚਿਆਰਾਂ ਲਈ ਅਨ੍ਹੇਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਚਾਨਣ ਚੜ੍ਹ ਆਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹਨਾਂ ਲਈ ਜੋ ਦਯਾਲੂ, ਕਿਰਪਾਲੂ ਤੇ ਧਰਮੀ ਹਨ।
5 ਉਸ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦਾ ਭਲਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਦਯਾਵਾਨ ਤੇ ਉਧਾਰ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਕੰਮਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਨਸਾਫ਼ ਨਾਲ ਚਲਾਏਗਾ।
6 ਉਹ ਕਦੀ ਵੀ ਨਾ ਡੋਲੇਗਾ, ਧਰਮੀ ਸਦਾ ਦੀ ਯਾਦਗੀਰੀ ਲਈ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ।
7 ਉਹ ਬੁਰੀ ਖ਼ਬਰ ਤੋਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਡਰਦਾ, ਉਹ ਦਾ ਦਿਲ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਦਾ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਉੱਤੇ ਹੈ।
8 ਉਹ ਦਾ ਮਨ ਤਕੜਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਨਾ ਡੋਲੇਗਾ, ਜਦ ਤੱਕ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਵਿਰੋਧੀਆਂ ਉੱਤੇ (ਆਪਣੀ ਜਿੱਤ) ਨਾ ਵੇਖੇ।
9 ਉਹ ਨੇ ਵੰਡਿਆ, ਉਹ ਨੇ ਕੰਗਾਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਉਹ ਦਾ ਧਰਮ ਸਦਾ ਤੱਕ ਬਣਿਆ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਦਾ ਸਿੰਗ ਪਰਤਾਪ ਨਾਲ ਉੱਚਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ।
10 ਦੁਸ਼ਟ ਇਹ ਨੂੰ ਵੇਖ ਕੇ ਕੁੜ੍ਹੇਗਾ, ਦੰਦ ਪੀਹ ਪੀਹ ਕੇ ਉਹ ਗਲ਼ ਜਾਵੇਗਾ, ਦੁਸ਼ਟ ਦੀ ਹਿਰਸ ਨਾਸ ਹੋ ਜਾਵੇਗੀ।
