1 ਜਦ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਮਿਸਰ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਨਿੱਕਲਿਆ, ਯਾਕੂਬ ਦਾ ਘਰਾਣਾ ਇੱਕ ਓਪਰੀ ਬੋਲੀ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਤੋਂ,
2 ਤਾਂ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਉਹ ਦਾ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਸਥਾਨ, ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਉਹ ਦਾ ਰਾਜ ਹੋਇਆ।
3 ਸਮੁੰਦਰ ਨੇ ਡਿੱਠਾ ਤੇ ਨੱਠਾ, ਯਰਦਨ ਉਲਟੀ ਵਗੀ!
4 ਪਰਬਤ ਛੱਤ੍ਰਿਆਂ ਵਾਂਗੂੰ ਟੱਪਦੇ ਸਨ, ਪਹਾੜੀਆਂ ਲੇਲਿਆਂ ਵਾਂਗੂੰ।
5 ਹੇ ਸਮੁੰਦਰ, ਤੈਨੂੰ ਕੀ ਹੋਇਆ ਕਿ ਤੂੰ ਨੱਠਦਾ ਹੈਂ? ਤੂੰ, ਯਰਦਨ, ਕਿਉਂ ਉਲਟੀ ਵਗਦੀ ਹੈਂ?
6 ਹੇ ਪਹਾੜੋ, ਤੁਸੀਂ ਛੱਤ੍ਰਿਆਂ ਵਾਂਗੂੰ, ਹੇ ਪਹਾੜੀਓ, ਤੁਸੀਂ ਲੇਲਿਆਂ ਵਾਂਗੂੰ ਕਿਉਂ ਟੱਪਦੇ ਹੋ?
7 ਹੇ ਧਰਤੀ, ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਦੇ ਹਜ਼ੂਰ, ਯਾਕੂਬ ਦੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਸਨਮੁਖ ਕੰਬ,
8 ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਚੱਟਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਪਾਣੀ ਦਾ ਛੰਭ, ਚਕਮਕ ਦੇ ਪੱਥਰ ਨੂੰ ਪਾਣੀ ਦਾ ਚਸ਼ਮਾ ਬਣਾ ਛੱਡਿਆ ਹੈ।
