By accessing or using The Historic Faith website at thehistoricfaith.com ("the Site"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
The Historic Faith is a ministry of the Society of the Good Shepherd, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
The Site provides access to educational and theological content, including but not limited to:
Sender: Society of the Good Shepherd, through The Historic Faith and TWELVE. Where available, you can choose account and work alerts, Historic Faith listener support and ministry updates, and reminders about events or fellowship activities you follow, including Chambersburg Christian Fellowship activities. Messages identify the relevant service or program. Availability depends on the program and channel; these terms do not enroll you in any messages.
Your choice: Messaging is optional and consent is not a condition of a purchase, donation, membership, or access to our content. Each enrollment identifies the sender, channel, and message types. Choose only the programs you want. Providing a phone number elsewhere or joining a workspace or directory does not give messaging consent. SMS consent does not give WhatsApp consent, or vice versa.
Joining through TWELVE: When SMS enrollment is available, sign in, open Notification delivery, enter your mobile number, and check the optional consent box. Send the displayed one-time VERIFY message from that phone to 717-716-7777, then text START to confirm the subscription. Return to TWELVE to select and save the alerts you want. Sending START alone does not turn on workspace alert preferences. Other programs must show their own enrollment instructions and collect consent before messaging you.
Frequency and charges: Message frequency varies with the programs and alerts you select and your support conversations. Message and data rates may apply. Check your mobile plan for charges. Delivery is subject to service availability; carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Do not rely on these messages for emergencies.
Stop SMS: Reply STOP to 717-716-7777 to stop SMS messages from this number across its programs. You may receive one confirmation of your opt-out. To subscribe again, text START and choose the alerts you want in your program settings. You can also disable individual alert preferences in TWELVE without resubscribing to other alerts.
WhatsApp: WhatsApp messages require a separate opt-in. Reply STOP in the WhatsApp conversation or disable that program's WhatsApp preferences to opt out. Blocking the business in WhatsApp also prevents messages in WhatsApp. These choices do not change a separate SMS subscription.
Help: For SMS, reply HELP to 717-716-7777. For either channel, use our Contact page. Please tell us if your phone number changes so we can disconnect the previous number.
Privacy: Read our messaging privacy policy. We do not sell or share mobile numbers or messaging consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing.
Some features require creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. You agree to provide accurate information during registration.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or engage in abusive behavior.

When you post content in forums or other community areas, you retain ownership of your content but grant The Historic Faith a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, distribute, and moderate that content on the Site.
We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these terms or our community guidelines, at our sole discretion.
Course content, original articles, site design, and proprietary tools are the property of The Historic Faith or its content creators and are protected by copyright law. Public domain texts (such as the Ante-Nicene Fathers) remain in the public domain.
You may share links to Site content. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from proprietary content without written permission.
We respect the intellectual property rights of others. If you believe that content on this Site infringes your copyright, please send a written notice to our designated agents with the following information:

The Historic Faith accepts voluntary donations. Donations are processed securely by Stripe and are subject to their terms of service. Donation receipts are provided for tax purposes as permitted by law.
Recurring donations may be cancelled or paused at any time through your Account Settings or by contacting us. Changes take effect at the end of the current billing period.
Because donations are voluntary charitable gifts, they are generally non-refundable. If you believe a donation was made in error, please contact us within 30 days and we will review your request.
The Site and its content are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Historic Faith and its officers, directors, employees, and volunteers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Site.
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Your continued use of the Site after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Site shall be resolved in the courts located in Pennsylvania.
