1 ਹੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਮੇਰੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਸੁਣ ਲੈ, ਮੇਰੀ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਕੰਨ ਲਾ, ਆਪਣੀ ਵਫ਼ਾਦਾਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਧਰਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਉੱਤਰ ਦੇ!
2 ਆਪਣੇ ਦਾਸ ਨੂੰ ਅਦਾਲਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਾ ਲਿਆ, ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਤੇਰੇ ਹਜ਼ੂਰ ਕੋਈ ਧਰਮੀ ਨਹੀਂ ਠਹਿਰ ਸਕਦਾ।
3 ਵੈਰੀ ਨੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਜਾਨ ਦਾ ਪਿੱਛਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਨੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਜਿੰਦ ਨੂੰ ਚਿੱਥ ਕੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਸੁੱਟ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਨੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਅਨ੍ਹੇਰੇ ਥਾਵਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਸਾਇਆ ਹੈ, ਚਿਰ ਦੇ ਮੋਇਆਂ ਹੋਇਆਂ ਵਾਂਗੂੰ!
4 ਤਦੇ ਮੇਰਾ ਆਤਮਾ ਮੇਰੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਨਢਾਲ ਹੈ, ਮੇਰਾ ਦਿਲ ਮੇਰੇ ਅੰਦਰ ਵਿਆਕੁਲ ਹੈ।
5 ਮੈਂ ਪੁਰਾਣਿਆਂ ਸਮਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਯਾਦ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੀਆਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਕਰਨੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਹੱਥਾਂ ਦੇ ਕੰਮ ਦਾ ਧਿਆਨ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ।
6 ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਹੱਥ ਤੇਰੀ ਵੱਲ ਅੱਡਦਾ ਹਾਂ, ਮੇਰੀ ਜਾਨ ਸੁੱਕੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਵਾਂਗੂੰ ਤੇਰੀ ਤਿਹਾਈ ਹੈ। ਸਲਹ।
7 ਛੇਤੀ ਕਰ, ਹੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਮੈਨੂੰ ਉੱਤਰ ਦੇ, ਮੇਰਾ ਆਤਮਾ ਬਸ ਹੋ ਚੱਲਿਆ, ਆਪਣਾ ਮੂੰਹ ਮੇਰੇ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਨਾ ਲੁਕਾ, ਕਿਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਕਬਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਉੱਤਰਨ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਵਰਗਾ ਨਾ ਹੋ ਜਾਂਵਾਂ!
8 ਸਵੇਰ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਦਯਾ ਦੀ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਸੁਣਾਈ ਕਰ, ਮੈਂ ਜੋ ਤੇਰਾ ਭਰੋਸਾ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਹੈ, ਮੇਰੇ ਤੁਰਨ ਦਾ ਰਾਹ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਦੱਸ, ਮੈਂ ਤਾਂ ਆਪਣੀ ਜਾਨ ਤੇਰੇ ਵੱਲ ਉਠਾ ਰੱਖੀ ਹੈ।
9 ਹੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਮੈਨੂੰ ਵੈਰੀਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਛੁਡਾ, ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੁੱਕਦਾ ਹਾਂ!
10 ਤੂੰ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਮਰਜ਼ੀ ਪੂਰੀ ਕਰਨੀ ਸਿਖਲਾ, ਤੂੰ ਤਾਂ ਮੇਰਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਹੈਂ, ਤੇਰਾ ਆਤਮਾ ਨੇਕ ਹੈ, ਉਹ ਪੱਧਰੇ ਦੇਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੇਰੀ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਕਰੇ।
11 ਹੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਆਪਣੇ ਨਾਮ ਦੇ ਸਦਕੇ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਜਿਉਂਦਾ ਰੱਖ, ਆਪਣੇ ਧਰਮ ਨਾਲ ਮੇਰੀ ਜਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਦੁੱਖਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਕੱਢ,
12 ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਦਯਾ ਨਾਲ ਮੇਰੇ ਵੈਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਟਾ ਸੁੱਟ, ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਜਾਨ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਦੁੱਖ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਦਾ ਨਾਸ ਕਰ! ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰਾ ਸੇਵਕ ਜੋ ਹਾਂ।
