About Acts 2

At Pentecost the Spirit descends with a sound of rushing wind and tongues of fire, and Galileans declare the wonderful works of God in the languages of every nation under heaven. Peter stands to explain — this is what Joel foretold, and Jesus of Nazareth, crucified and raised, is both Lord and Christ — and three thousand are baptized, forming the first church devoted to the apostles' doctrine, fellowship, breaking of bread, and prayers.
