but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil—of it ye shall not eat, but in whatsoever day ye eat of it, ye shall surely die.

And the serpent said to the woman, Ye shall not surely die.

Does not Hezekiah deceive you, to deliver you to death and famine and thirst, saying, The Lord our God will deliver us out of the hand of the king of Assyria?

Revealing deep things out of darkness: And he has brought into light the shadow of death.

For death is the witness of an ungodly man, And fire shall burn the houses of them that receive gifts.

I have called upon death to be my father, And corruption to be my mother and sister.

Let the soles of his feet be devoured: And death shall consume his beauty.

For the morning is to them all as the shadow of death, For each will be conscious of the terror of the shadow of death.
