Deliver my soul, that it may not go to destruction, And my life shall see the light.

The heathen are caught in the destruction which they planned: In the very snare which they hid is their foot taken.

Because thou wilt not leave my soul in hell, Neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.

What profit is there in my blood, When I go down to destruction? Shall the dust give praise to thee? Or shall it declare thy truth?

For without cause they have hidden for me their destructive snare: Without a cause they have reproached my soul.

But thou, O God, shalt bring them down to the pit of destruction; Bloody and crafty men Shall not live out half their days; But I will hope in thee, O Lord.
