第 2 章：鼓励做一个美德的人
因此，你们要 "预备好"，带着敬畏和真理侍奉主，就像那些摒弃了众人的虚妄、空谈和错误，"相信那使我们的主耶稣基督从死里复活，并赐给他荣耀"，在他右手边拥有宝座的人一样。天地万物都服从祂。万灵都侍奉祂。祂作为活人和死人的审判者降临。上帝会要求不信祂的人流祂的血。但使祂从死里复活的祂也会使我们复活，只要我们遵行祂的旨意，遵守祂的诫命，爱祂所爱的，远离一切不义、贪婪、爱钱财、恶言和假见证；"不以恶报恶，不以谩骂报谩骂"，不以打击报打击，不以咒诅报咒诅，而是牢记主在祂的教导中所说的话："不要论断人，免得你们受论断；饶恕人，人就饶恕你们；存怜悯的心，就必得怜悯；用什么量器量人，就必用什么量器量人；"还有，"贫穷的人有福了，那些为义受逼迫的人也有福了，因为神的国是他们的。"
