第 8 章：小心魔鬼的陷阱。
我把这些话写给你们，并不是因为我知道你们中间有这样的人；不，我确实希望上帝永远不会让这样的报告传到我的耳朵里，上帝 "没有为了他神圣的教会而放过他的儿子"。但是，我预见到了恶人的陷阱，因此，作为我在基督里所爱的忠实儿女，我提前向你们发出警告，让你们做好准备，为你们提供保护，抵御不法之徒的致命疾病。因此，凭着我们主基督的美好旨意，你们要远离这种疾病。因此，你们要以温柔为衣，效法他的苦难和他的爱，他爱我们，为我们舍己作了赎价，用他的宝血洗净我们从前的不虔诚，在我们几乎因内心的堕落而迷失的时候，赐给我们生命。你们不要记恨邻舍。因为我们的主说："你们饶恕人，人也必饶恕你们"。不要给外邦人任何反对你们的理由，以免 "基督的道和教义被几个愚昧人亵渎了"。"因为先知说的话仿佛是上帝的声音，"外邦人中亵渎我名的人有祸了"。
