第 1 章：赞美与鼓励。
我已经得到了有力的证据，证明你的心灵像磐石一样坚固地倚靠着上帝。我大声赞美神的名，因为我被认为有资格看到你无可指责的面容，我希望永远在神里面享受你的面容！我敦促你，以你所蒙的恩典，在你的旅途中奋勇向前，鼓励每个人得救。无论在肉体上还是在精神上，都要小心谨慎地维持你们的地位。努力维护合一，因为没有比这更好的了。忍耐每一个人，就像主忍耐你一样。用爱支持所有人，就像你已经做的那样。致力于不停地祷告。在已有的基础上寻求更多的理解。以警醒的心儆醒。按照上帝的旨意，与每个人单独交谈。在基督徒的生活中，像完美的运动员一样承受所有人的软弱，就像所有人的主所做的那样。因为经上说："祂亲自担当我们的软弱，忍受我们的疾病"。凡劳苦大的地方，赏赐就更大。
