DE WIL EN DE ENERGIE VAN GOD ZIJN DE EFFECTIEVE EN VOORZIENENDE OORZAAK VAN ELKE TIJD: plaats en tijdperk, en van elke natuur. De wil is de rede van de intellectuele ziel, die in ons bestaat, omdat het de faculteit is die begiftigd is met vrijheid van handelen. De wil is de geest die een object verlangt, en een eetlust met intelligentie, verlangend naar wat wordt verlangd.
