1 ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਰਾਜਾ ਯਾਰਾਬੁਆਮ ਦੇ ਰਾਜ ਦੇ ਸਤਾਈਵੇਂ ਸਾਲ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਰਾਜਾ ਅਮਸਯਾਹ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਅਜ਼ਰਯਾਹ ਰਾਜ ਕਰਨ ਲੱਗਾ।
2 ਜਦ ਉਹ ਰਾਜ ਕਰਨ ਲੱਗਾ ਤਾਂ ਸੋਲ਼ਾਂ ਸਾਲਾਂ ਦਾ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਨੇ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਬਵੰਜਾ ਸਾਲ ਰਾਜ ਕੀਤਾ, ਉਹ ਦੀ ਮਾਤਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਯਕਾਲਯਾਹ ਸੀ ਜੋ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਦੀ ਸੀ।
3 ਜਿਵੇਂ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਅਮਸਯਾਹ ਨੇ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ, ਉਸ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਉਹ ਹੀ ਕੀਤਾ ਜੋ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੀ ਨਿਗਾਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਠੀਕ ਸੀ।
4 ਤਾਂ ਵੀ ਉੱਚੇ ਥਾਂ ਢਾਹੇ ਨਾ ਗਏ। ਅਜੇ ਤੱਕ ਲੋਕ ਉੱਚਿਆਂ ਥਾਵਾਂ ਤੇ ਬਲੀਆਂ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਉਂਦੇ ਅਤੇ ਧੂਪ ਧੁਖਾਉਂਦੇ ਸਨ।
5 ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਰਾਜਾ ਨੂੰ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਮਾਰਿਆ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਰਨ ਦੇ ਦਿਨ ਤੱਕ ਕੋੜ੍ਹੀ ਰਿਹਾ ਅਤੇ ਇੱਕ ਅਲੱਗ ਘਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿੰਦਾ ਸੀ, ਰਾਜਾ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਯੋਥਾਮ ਘਰ ਦੀ ਦੇਖਭਾਲ ਅਤੇ ਦੇਸ ਦੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦਾ ਨਿਆਂ ਕਰਦਾ ਸੀ।
6 ਅਜ਼ਰਯਾਹ ਦੇ ਬਾਕੀ ਕੰਮ ਅਤੇ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਜੋ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਕੀਤਾ ਕੀ ਉਹ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਰਾਜਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਇਤਿਹਾਸ ਦੀ ਪੋਥੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ?
7 ਅਜ਼ਰਯਾਹ ਮਰ ਕੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੁਰਖਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਜਾ ਮਿਲਿਆ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪੁਰਖਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਦਾਊਦ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਦੱਬ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਯੋਥਾਮ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਥਾਂ ਰਾਜ ਕਰਨ ਲੱਗਾ।
8 ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਰਾਜਾ ਅਜ਼ਰਯਾਹ ਦੇ ਰਾਜ ਦੇ ਅਠੱਤੀਵੇਂ ਸਾਲ ਯਾਰਾਬੁਆਮ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਜ਼ਕਰਯਾਹ ਸਾਮਰਿਯਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਉੱਤੇ ਰਾਜ ਕਰਨ ਲੱਗਾ, ਉਸ ਨੇ ਛੇ ਮਹੀਨੇ ਤੱਕ ਰਾਜ ਕੀਤਾ।
9 ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਕੰਮ ਕੀਤਾ ਜੋ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੀ ਨਿਗਾਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਭੈੜਾ ਸੀ, ਜਿਵੇਂ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪੁਰਖਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਨਬਾਟ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਯਾਰਾਬੁਆਮ ਦੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਪਾਪਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਮੂੰਹ ਨਾ ਮੋੜਿਆ, ਜੋ ਉਹ ਨੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਤੋਂ ਕਰਵਾਏ ਸਨ।
10 ਤਦ ਯਾਬੇਸ਼ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸ਼ੱਲੂਮ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਯੋਜਨਾ ਬਣਾਈ ਅਤੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕੁੱਟ-ਕੁੱਟ ਕੇ ਮਾਰ ਛੱਡਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਥਾਂ ਰਾਜ ਕਰਨ ਲੱਗਾ।
11 ਵੇਖੋ, ਜ਼ਕਰਯਾਹ ਦੀ ਬਾਕੀ ਘਟਨਾ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਰਾਜਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਇਤਿਹਾਸ ਦੀ ਪੋਥੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿਖੀ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ।
12 ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਉਹ ਬਚਨ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਯੇਹੂ ਨਾਲ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ, ਇਹ ਹੀ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਤੇਰੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਚੌਥੀ ਪੀੜ੍ਹੀ ਤੱਕ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੀ ਰਾਜ ਗੱਦੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਬੈਠਣਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਉਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਹੀ ਹੋਇਆ।
13 ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਰਾਜਾ ਉੱਜ਼ੀਯਾਹ ਦੇ ਰਾਜ ਦੇ ਉੱਨਤਾਲੀਵੇਂ ਸਾਲ ਯਾਬੇਸ਼ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸ਼ੱਲੂਮ ਰਾਜ ਕਰਨ ਲੱਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਸਾਮਰਿਯਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਹੀਨਾ ਭਰ ਰਾਜ ਕੀਤਾ।
14 ਤਦ ਗਾਦੀ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਮਨਹੇਮ ਤਿਰਸਾਹ ਤੋਂ ਆਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਮਰਿਯਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਗਿਆ, ਯਾਬੇਸ਼ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਸ਼ੱਲੂਮ ਨੂੰ ਸਾਮਰਿਯਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਮਾਰਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਘਾਤ ਕਰਕੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਥਾਂ ਰਾਜ ਕਰਨ ਲੱਗ ਪਿਆ।
15 ਸ਼ੱਲੂਮ ਦੀ ਬਾਕੀ ਘਟਨਾ ਅਤੇ ਜੋ ਯੋਜਨਾ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਬਣਾਈ, ਵੇਖੋ, ਉਹ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਰਾਜਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਇਤਿਹਾਸ ਦੀ ਪੋਥੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ।
16 ਤਦ ਮਨਹੇਮ ਨੇ ਤਿਰਸਾਹ ਤੋਂ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਤਿਫਸਹ ਨੂੰ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਸਭਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਨ, ਉਹ ਦੀਆਂ ਹੱਦਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰਿਆ ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਫਾਟਕ ਨਾ ਖੋਲ੍ਹੇ, ਇਸ ਲਈ ਉਹ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਨੇ ਉੱਥੇ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਗਰਭਵਤੀ ਔਰਤਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਚੀਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
17 ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਰਾਜਾ ਅਜ਼ਰਯਾਹ ਦੇ ਰਾਜ ਦੇ ਉੱਨਤਾਲੀਵੇਂ ਸਾਲ ਗਾਦੀ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਮਨਹੇਮ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਉੱਤੇ ਰਾਜ ਕਰਨ ਲੱਗਾ। ਉਹ ਨੇ ਸਾਮਰਿਯਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਸ ਸਾਲ ਰਾਜ ਕੀਤਾ।
18 ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਕੰਮ ਕੀਤਾ, ਜਿਹੜਾ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੀ ਨਿਗਾਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਭੈੜਾ ਸੀ। ਉਹ ਨੇ ਨਬਾਟ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਯਾਰਾਬੁਆਮ ਦੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਪਾਪਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਜੋ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਤੋਂ ਕਰਵਾਏ ਸਨ, ਸਾਰੀ ਉਮਰ ਮੂੰਹ ਨਾ ਮੋੜਿਆ।
19 ਅੱਸ਼ੂਰ ਦਾ ਰਾਜਾ ਪੂਲ ਉਸ ਦੇਸ ਉੱਤੇ ਹਮਲਾ ਕੀਤਾ, ਮਨਹੇਮ ਨੇ ਪੂਲ ਨੂੰ ਦਸ ਹਜ਼ਾਰ ਕਿੱਲੋ ਦੇ ਲੱਗਭੱਗ ਚਾਂਦੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਉਸ ਦੀ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਕਰੇ ਅਤੇ ਰਾਜ ਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਹੱਥਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਥਿਰ ਕਰ ਦੇਵੇ।
20 ਮਨਹੇਮ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਚਾਂਦੀ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਧਨੀ ਪੁਰਸ਼ਾਂ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਪੰਜਾਹ ਰੁਪਏ ਧੱਕੇ ਨਾਲ ਲਏ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਅੱਸ਼ੂਰ ਦੇ ਰਾਜਾ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਵੇ। ਅੱਸ਼ੂਰ ਦੇ ਰਾਜਾ ਨੇ ਪਿੱਠ ਮੋੜੀ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਾ ਠਹਿਰਿਆ।
21 ਮਨਹੇਮ ਦੀ ਬਾਕੀ ਘਟਨਾ ਅਤੇ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਨੇ ਕੀਤਾ, ਕੀ ਉਹ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਰਾਜਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਇਤਿਹਾਸ ਦੀ ਪੋਥੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ?
22 ਮਨਹੇਮ ਮਰ ਕੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪੁਰਖਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਜਾ ਮਿਲਿਆ, ਉਹ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਪਕਹਯਾਹ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਥਾਂ ਰਾਜ ਕਰਨ ਲੱਗਾ।
23 ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਰਾਜਾ ਅਜ਼ਰਯਾਹ ਦੇ ਰਾਜ ਦੇ ਪੰਜਾਹਵੇਂ ਸਾਲ ਮਨਹੇਮ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਪਕਹਯਾਹ ਸਾਮਰਿਯਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਉੱਤੇ ਰਾਜ ਕਰਨ ਲੱਗਾ, ਉਸ ਨੇ ਦੋ ਸਾਲ ਰਾਜ ਕੀਤਾ।
24 ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਕੰਮ ਕੀਤਾ, ਜੋ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੀ ਨਿਗਾਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਭੈੜਾ ਸੀ। ਉਹ ਨੇ ਨਬਾਟ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਯਾਰਾਬੁਆਮ ਦੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਪਾਪਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਮੂੰਹ ਨਾ ਮੋੜਿਆ, ਜੋ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਤੋਂ ਕਰਵਾਏ ਸਨ।
25 ਰਮਲਯਾਹ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਪਕਹ ਨੇ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਦਾ ਇੱਕ ਅਹੁਦੇਦਾਰ ਸੀ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਮਤਾ ਪਕਾਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਮਰਿਯਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਾਜਾ ਦੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਹਿਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਅਰਗੋਬ ਅਤੇ ਅਰਯੇਹ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਮਾਰਿਆ, ਗਿਲਆਦੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਪੰਜਾਹ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਸਨ, ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਛੱਡਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਥਾਂ ਰਾਜ ਕਰਨ ਲੱਗਾ।
26 ਪਕਹਯਾਹ ਦੀ ਬਾਕੀ ਘਟਨਾ ਅਤੇ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਨੇ ਕੀਤਾ, ਵੇਖੋ, ਉਹ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਰਾਜਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਇਤਿਹਾਸ ਦੀ ਪੋਥੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ।
27 ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਰਾਜਾ ਅਜ਼ਰਯਾਹ ਦੇ ਰਾਜ ਦੇ ਬਵੰਜਵੇਂ ਸਾਲ ਰਮਲਯਾਹ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਪਕਹ, ਸਾਮਰਿਯਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਉੱਤੇ ਰਾਜ ਕਰਨ ਲੱਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਵੀਹ ਸਾਲ ਰਾਜ ਕੀਤਾ।
28 ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਕੰਮ ਕੀਤਾ, ਜੋ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੀ ਨਿਗਾਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਭੈੜਾ ਸੀ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਨਬਾਟ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਯਾਰਾਬੁਆਮ ਦੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਪਾਪਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਮੂੰਹ ਨਾ ਮੋੜਿਆ ਜੋ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਤੋਂ ਕਰਵਾਏ ਸਨ।
29 ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਰਾਜਾ ਪਕਹ ਦੇ ਦਿਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਅੱਸ਼ੂਰ ਦੇ ਰਾਜਾ ਤਿਗਲਥ ਪਿਲਸਰ ਨੇ ਆ ਕੇ ਈਯੋਨ, ਆਬੇਲ ਬੈਤ ਮਆਕਾਹ, ਯਾਨੋਹਾਹ, ਕਾਦੇਸ਼, ਹਾਸੋਰ, ਗਿਲਆਦ, ਗਲੀਲ ਅਤੇ ਨਫ਼ਤਾਲੀ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਦੇਸ ਨੂੰ ਲੈ ਲਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਗੁਲਾਮ ਕਰਕੇ ਅੱਸ਼ੂਰ ਨੂੰ ਲੈ ਗਿਆ।
30 ਏਲਾਹ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਹੋਸ਼ੇਆ ਨੇ ਰਮਲਯਾਹ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਪਕਹ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਯੋਜਨਾ ਬਣਾਈ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰਿਆ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਘਾਤ ਕਰਕੇ ਉੱਜ਼ੀਯਾਹ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਯੋਥਾਮ ਦੇ ਵੀਹਵੇਂ ਸਾਲ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਥਾਂ ਰਾਜ ਕਰਨ ਲੱਗਾ।
31 ਪਕਹ ਦੀ ਬਾਕੀ ਘਟਨਾ ਅਤੇ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਜੋ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਕੀਤਾ, ਵੇਖੋ, ਉਹ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਰਾਜਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਇਤਿਹਾਸ ਦੀ ਪੋਥੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ।
32 ਰਮਲਯਾਹ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਪਕਹ, ਜੋ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦਾ ਰਾਜਾ ਸੀ, ਉਸ ਦੇ ਦੂਜੇ ਸਾਲ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਰਾਜਾ ਉੱਜ਼ੀਯਾਹ ਦਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਯੋਥਾਮ ਰਾਜ ਕਰਨ ਲੱਗਾ।
33 ਜਦ ਉਹ ਪੱਚੀ ਸਾਲਾਂ ਦਾ ਸੀ, ਉਸ ਸਮੇਂ ਰਾਜ ਕਰਨ ਲੱਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਸੋਲ਼ਾਂ ਸਾਲ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਾਜ ਕੀਤਾ, ਉਸ ਦੀ ਮਾਤਾ ਦਾ ਨਾਮ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਾ ਸੀ, ਜੋ ਸਾਦੋਕ ਦੀ ਧੀ ਸੀ।
34 ਉਹ ਸਭ ਕੁਝ ਜੋ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਉੱਜ਼ੀਯਾਹ ਨੇ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ, ਉਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਹੀ ਉਹ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਕੀਤਾ, ਜੋ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੀ ਨਿਗਾਹ ਵਿੱਚ ਠੀਕ ਸੀ।
35 ਕੇਵਲ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਉੱਚੀਆਂ ਥਾਵਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਨਾ ਢਾਹਿਆ। ਅਜੇ ਤੱਕ ਲੋਕ ਉੱਚਿਆਂ ਥਾਵਾਂ ਤੇ ਬਲੀਆਂ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਉਂਦੇ ਅਤੇ ਧੂਪ ਧੁਖਾਉਂਦੇ ਸਨ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਭਵਨ ਦਾ ਉੱਪਰਲਾ ਫਾਟਕ ਬਣਾਇਆ।
36 ਯੋਥਾਮ ਦੇ ਬਾਕੀ ਕੰਮ ਅਤੇ ਜੋ ਕੁਝ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਕੀਤਾ, ਕੀ ਉਹ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਰਾਜਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਇਤਹਾਸ ਦੀ ਪੋਥੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ?
