1 ਅਲੀਸ਼ਾ ਨਬੀ ਨੇ ਨਬੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਦਲ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਇੱਕ ਨੂੰ ਸੱਦ ਕੇ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, ਆਪਣਾ ਲੱਕ ਬੰਨ੍ਹ, ਤੇਲ ਦੀ ਇੱਕ ਕੁੱਪੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਹੱਥ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੈ ਅਤੇ ਰਾਮੋਥ ਗਿਲਆਦ ਨੂੰ ਜਾ।
2 ਜਦ ਤੂੰ ਉੱਥੇ ਪਹੁੰਚੇ ਤਦ ਨਿਮਸ਼ੀ ਦੇ ਪੋਤਰੇ ਯਹੋਸ਼ਾਫ਼ਾਤ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਯੇਹੂ ਨੂੰ ਲੱਭ ਲਈਂ ਅਤੇ ਤੂੰ ਅੰਦਰ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਭਰਾਵਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਉਠਾ ਕੇ ਅੰਦਰਲੀ ਕੋਠੜੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਲੈ ਜਾਈਂ।
3 ਫੇਰ ਤੇਲ ਦੀ ਕੁੱਪੀ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਸਿਰ ਉੱਤੇ ਡੋਲ੍ਹ ਦੇਈਂ ਅਤੇ ਆਖੀਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ, ਮੈਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦਾ ਰਾਜਾ ਹੋਣ ਲਈ ਮਸਹ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ। ਤਦ ਤੂੰ ਬੂਹਾ ਖੋਲ੍ਹ ਕੇ ਭੱਜ ਜਾਈਂ ਅਤੇ ਨਾ ਠਹਿਰੀਂ।
4 ਇਸ ਲਈ ਉਹ ਜੁਆਨ ਅਰਥਾਤ ਉਹ ਜੁਆਨ ਨਬੀ ਰਾਮੋਥ ਗਿਲਆਦ ਨੂੰ ਗਿਆ।
5 ਜਦ ਉਹ ਪਹੁੰਚਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਵੇਖੋ, ਫੌਜ ਦੇ ਸਰਦਾਰ ਬੈਠੇ ਹੋਏ ਸਨ। ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, ਹੇ ਸਰਦਾਰ, ਮੇਰੇ ਕੋਲ ਤੇਰੇ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਸੁਨੇਹਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਯੇਹੂ ਨੇ ਪੁੱਛਿਆ, ਸਾਡੇ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਕਿਸ ਦੇ ਲਈ? ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, ਹੇ ਸਰਦਾਰ ਤੇਰੇ ਲਈ।
6 ਤਦ ਉਹ ਉੱਠ ਕੇ ਘਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਸਿਰ ਉੱਤੇ ਤੇਲ ਡੋਲ੍ਹ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ, ਮੈਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੀ ਪਰਜਾ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦਾ ਰਾਜਾ ਹੋਣ ਲਈ ਮਸਹ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ।
7 ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਅਹਾਬ ਦੇ ਘਰਾਣੇ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰ ਸੁੱਟੀਂ ਤਾਂ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਦਾਸ ਨਬੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਲਹੂ ਦਾ ਅਤੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਸਭ ਦਾਸਾਂ ਦੇ ਲਹੂ ਦਾ ਬਦਲਾ ਈਜ਼ਬਲ ਦੇ ਹੱਥੋਂ ਲਵਾਂ।
8 ਅਹਾਬ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਘਰਾਣੇ ਦਾ ਨਾਸ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਅਹਾਬ ਤੋਂ ਹਰੇਕ ਲੜਕੇ ਨੂੰ, ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਰ ਗੁਲਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਅਤੇ ਹਰ ਅਜ਼ਾਦ ਨੂੰ ਕੱਟ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ।
9 ਮੈਂ ਅਹਾਬ ਦੇ ਘਰਾਣੇ ਨੂੰ ਨਬਾਟ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਯਾਰਾਬੁਆਮ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਅਤੇ ਅਹੀਯਾਹ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਬਆਸ਼ਾ ਦੇ ਘਰ ਵਾਂਗੂੰ ਕਰ ਛੱਡਾਂਗਾ।
10 ਈਜ਼ਬਲ ਨੂੰ ਯਿਜ਼ਰਏਲ ਦੀ ਭੂਮੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੁੱਤੇ ਖਾਣਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਦੱਬਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਉੱਥੇ ਕੋਈ ਨਾ ਹੋਵੇਗਾ। ਫੇਰ ਉਹ ਬੂਹਾ ਖੋਲ੍ਹ ਕੇ ਭੱਜ ਗਿਆ।
11 ਤਦ ਯੇਹੂ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਦੇ ਨੌਕਰਾਂ ਕੋਲ ਬਾਹਰ ਆਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਇੱਕ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, ਸੁੱਖ ਤਾਂ ਹੈ? ਇਹ ਬਾਵਰਾ ਤੇਰੇ ਕੋਲ ਕਿਉਂ ਆਇਆ ਸੀ? ਉਹ ਨੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਸ ਆਦਮੀ ਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਸੁਨੇਹੇ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਣਦੇ ਹੋ।
12 ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਬੋਲੇ, ਇਹ ਝੂਠਾ ਹੈ। ਕਿਰਪਾ ਕਰਕੇ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਦੱਸ ਤਾਂ ਸਹੀ, ਤਦ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉੱਤਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਉਸ ਨੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਲ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਗੱਲ ਕੀਤੀ ਕਿ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਆਖਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਮੈਂ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦਾ ਰਾਜਾ ਹੋਣ ਲਈ ਮਸਹ ਕੀਤਾ।
13 ਤਦ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੇ ਛੇਤੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਹਰੇਕ ਆਦਮੀ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਕੱਪੜੇ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਹੇਠਾਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਹੀ ਪੌੜੀਆਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਵਿਛਾਏ ਅਤੇ ਤੁਰ੍ਹੀ ਵਜਾ ਕੇ ਆਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਯੇਹੂ ਰਾਜਾ ਹੈ।
14 ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਿਮਸ਼ੀ ਦੇ ਪੋਤਰੇ ਯਹੋਸ਼ਾਫ਼ਾਤ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਯੇਹੂ ਨੇ ਯੋਰਾਮ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਰਾਜਦ੍ਰੋਹ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਅਰਾਮ ਦੇ ਰਾਜਾ ਹਜ਼ਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਯੋਰਾਮ ਸਾਰੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਰਾਮੋਥ ਗਿਲਆਦ ਦੀ ਦੇਖਭਾਲ ਕਰਦਾ ਸੀ।
15 ਪਰ ਯੋਰਾਮ ਰਾਜਾ ਮੁੜ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਯਿਜ਼ਰਏਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਜ਼ਖਮਾਂ ਦਾ ਇਲਾਜ ਕਰਾਵੇ, ਜਿਹੜੇ ਅਰਾਮ ਦੇ ਰਾਜਾ ਹਜ਼ਾਏਲ ਨਾਲ ਲੜਦਿਆਂ ਅਰਾਮੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਹੱਥੋਂ ਲੱਗੇ ਸਨ। ਤਦ ਯੇਹੂ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, ਜੇ ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਕੋਈ ਭੱਜਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਇਸ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਨਿੱਕਲ ਕੇ ਯਿਜ਼ਰਏਲ ਨੂੰ ਖ਼ਬਰ ਨਾ ਲਿਜਾਵੇ।
16 ਅਤੇ ਯੇਹੂ ਰੱਥ ਉੱਤੇ ਚੜ੍ਹ ਕੇ ਯਿਜ਼ਰਏਲ ਨੂੰ ਗਿਆ ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਯੋਰਾਮ ਉੱਥੇ ਪਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦਾ ਰਾਜਾ ਅਹਜ਼ਯਾਹ ਯੋਰਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਣ ਲਈ ਆਇਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ।
17 ਯਿਜ਼ਰਏਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਹਿਰੇ ਵਾਲਾ ਬੁਰਜ ਉੱਤੇ ਖੜ੍ਹਾ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਜਦ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਯੇਹੂ ਦੇ ਵੱਡੇ ਜੱਥੇ ਨੂੰ ਆਉਂਦਿਆ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਆਖਿਆ, ਮੈਨੂੰ ਇੱਕ ਵੱਡਾ ਜੱਥਾ ਦਿਸਦਾ ਹੈ। ਯੋਰਾਮ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ, ਇੱਕ ਸਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਣ ਲਈ ਘੱਲ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਪੁੱਛੇ, “ਕੀ ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ ਵੀ ਹੈ?”
18 ਫਿਰ ਇੱਕ ਸਵਾਰ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਣ ਲਈ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਬੋਲਿਆ, ਰਾਜਾ ਪੁੱਛਦਾ ਹੈ, “ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ ਵੀ ਹੈ?” ਅਤੇ ਯੇਹੂ ਬੋਲਿਆ, “ਤੈਨੂੰ ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਕੀ? ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਚੱਲ।” ਪਹਿਰੇ ਵਾਲੇ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ਵਾਹਕ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕੋਲ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਤਾਂ ਗਿਆ ਪਰ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਨਾ ਮੁੜਿਆ।
19 ਤਦ ਉਹ ਨੇ ਦੂਜੇ ਸਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਭੇਜਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕੋਲ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਆਖਿਆ, ਰਾਜਾ ਪੁੱਛਦਾ ਹੈ, “ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ ਵੀ ਹੈ?” ਯੇਹੂ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਕਿਹਾ, “ਤੈਨੂੰ ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ ਨਾਲ ਕੀ? ਮੇਰੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਚੱਲ।”
20 ਤਦ ਪਹਿਰੇ ਵਾਲੇ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ, ਉਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕੋਲ ਪਹੁੰਚ ਤਾਂ ਗਿਆ ਪਰ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਨਾ ਮੁੜਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਹੱਕਣਾ ਨਿਮਸ਼ੀ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਯੇਹੂ ਦੇ ਹੱਕਣ ਵਰਗਾ ਹੈ ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਬਹੁਤ ਤੇਜ਼ੀ ਨਾਲ ਹੱਕਦਾ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
21 ਤਦ ਯੋਰਾਮ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, ਜੋੜ ਦੇ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਦਾ ਰੱਥ ਜੋੜ ਦਿੱਤਾ। ਤਦ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦਾ ਰਾਜਾ ਯੋਰਾਮ ਅਤੇ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦਾ ਰਾਜਾ ਅਹਜ਼ਯਾਹ ਆਪਣੇ-ਆਪਣੇ ਰੱਥ ਉੱਤੇ ਨਿੱਕਲ ਕੇ ਯੇਹੂ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਲਣ ਲਈ ਗਏ ਅਤੇ ਯਿਜ਼ਰਏਲੀ ਨਾਬੋਥ ਦੀ ਭੂਮੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਜਾ ਮਿਲੇ।
22 ਤਦ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਜਦ ਯੋਰਾਮ ਨੇ ਯੇਹੂ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਖਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਬੋਲਿਆ, “ਯੇਹੂ ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ ਵੀ ਹੈ?” ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, ਜਦ ਤੱਕ ਤੇਰੀ ਮਾਂ ਈਜ਼ਬਲ ਦੀਆਂ ਵਿਭਚਾਰੀਆਂ ਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੀਆਂ ਜਾਦੂਗਰੀਆਂ ਐਨੀਆਂ ਵਧੀਆਂ ਹੋਈਆਂ ਹੋਣ ਤਦ ਤੱਕ ਕਿਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਾਂਤੀ?
23 ਤਦ ਯੋਰਾਮ ਨੇ ਵਾਗਾਂ ਮੋੜੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਭੱਜ ਤੁਰਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਅਹਜ਼ਯਾਹ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, ਹੇ ਅਹਜ਼ਯਾਹ ਧੋਖਾ ਹੈ! ਭੱਜ।
24 ਤਦ ਯੇਹੂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਧਣੁੱਖ ਜ਼ੋਰ ਨਾਲ ਖਿੱਚਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਯੋਰਾਮ ਦੇ ਮੋਢਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਵਿਚਕਾਰ ਮਾਰਿਆ, ਤੀਰ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਦਿਲ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਹੋ ਕੇ ਨਿੱਕਲਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਰੱਥ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੀ ਡਿੱਗ ਪਿਆ।
25 ਤਦ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਇੱਕ ਅਹੁਦੇਦਾਰ ਬਿਦਕਰ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਚੁੱਕ ਕੇ ਯਿਜ਼ਰਏਲੀ ਨਾਬੋਥ ਦੇ ਖੇਤ ਦੇ ਹਿੱਸੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੁੱਟ ਦੇ ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਚੇਤੇ ਕਰ ਕਿ ਜਦ ਮੈਂ ਤੇ ਤੂੰ ਦੋਵੇਂ ਰਲ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਅਹਾਬ ਦੇ ਪਿੱਛੇ ਸਵਾਰ ਹੋਏ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਸੀ ਤਦ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਇਹੋ ਹੁਕਮ ਲਾਇਆ ਸੀ।
26 ਸੱਚ-ਮੁੱਚ ਮੈਂ ਅੱਜ-ਕੱਲ ਹੀ ਨਾਬੋਥ ਦਾ ਲਹੂ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰਾਂ ਦਾ ਲਹੂ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਹੈ, ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਵਾਕ ਹੈ। ਮੈਂ ਇਸ ਖੇਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਬਦਲਾ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ, ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਵਾਕ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਲਈ ਹੁਣ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਵਾਕ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਚੁੱਕ ਕੇ ਉਸੇ ਥਾਂ ਸੁੱਟ ਦੇ।
27 ਜਦ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਦੇ ਰਾਜਾ ਅਹਜ਼ਯਾਹ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਵੇਖਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਬਾਗ਼ ਦੇ ਰਾਹ ਤੋਂ ਭੱਜਿਆ, ਪਰ ਯੇਹੂ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਦਾ ਪਿੱਛਾ ਕਰਕੇ ਕਿਹਾ, ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਰੱਥ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੀ ਮਾਰ ਸੁੱਟੋ। ਤਦ ਉਹ ਵੀ ਯਿਬਲਾਮ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਗੂਰ ਦੀ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਈ ਤੇ ਮਾਰਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਮਗਿੱਦੋ ਤੱਕ ਭੱਜ ਕੇ ਉੱਥੇ ਮਰ ਗਿਆ।
28 ਤਦ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਨੌਕਰ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਰੱਥ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੱਖ ਕੇ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਨੂੰ ਲਿਆਏ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਦੀ ਕਬਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਪੁਰਖਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਦਾਊਦ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਦੱਬਿਆ।
29 ਅਹਾਬ ਦੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਯੋਰਾਮ ਦੇ ਰਾਜ ਦੇ ਗਿਆਰਵੇਂ ਸਾਲ ਅਹਜ਼ਯਾਹ ਯਹੂਦਾਹ ਉੱਤੇ ਰਾਜ ਕਰਨ ਲੱਗਾ।
30 ਜਦ ਯੇਹੂ ਯਿਜ਼ਰਏਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੜਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਈਜ਼ਬਲ ਨੇ ਇਹ ਸੁਣਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀਆਂ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੁਰਮਾ ਪਾਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਿਰ ਨੂੰ ਸਿੰਗਾਰ ਕੇ ਖਿੜਕੀ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਦੀ ਦੇਖਣ ਲੱਗੀ।
31 ਜਦ ਯੇਹੂ ਫਾਟਕ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਹੁੰਚਿਆ, ਉਹ ਬੋਲੀ, ਹੇ ਜ਼ਿਮਰੀ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੁਆਮੀ ਦੇ ਮਾਰਨ ਵਾਲੇ ਸ਼ਾਂਤ ਤਾਂ ਹਨ?
32 ਉਸ ਨੇ ਖਿੜਕੀ ਵੱਲ ਮੂੰਹ ਚੁੱਕ ਕੇ ਆਖਿਆ, ਮੇਰੇ ਵੱਲ ਕੌਣ ਹੈ? ਕੌਣ? ਅਤੇ ਦੋ ਤਿੰਨ ਖੋਜ਼ਿਆਂ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਦੀ ਵੱਲ ਵੇਖਿਆ।
33 ਤਦ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਹੇਠਾਂ ਡੇਗ ਦਿਓ। ਫਿਰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਡੇਗ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਲਹੂ ਦੇ ਛਿੱਟੇ ਕੰਧ ਉੱਤੇ ਅਤੇ ਕੁਝ ਘੋੜਿਆਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਪਏ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਲਤਾੜ ਛੱਡਿਆ।
34 ਤਦ ਉਹ ਅੰਦਰ ਜਾ ਕੇ ਖਾਣ-ਪੀਣ ਲੱਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, ਇਸ ਸਰਾਪੀ ਔਰਤ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਖੋ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਦੱਬ ਦਿਓ ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਇੱਕ ਰਾਜਾ ਦੀ ਧੀ ਹੈ।
35 ਉਹ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਦੱਬਣ ਲਈ ਗਏ ਪਰ ਖੋਪੜੀ, ਪੈਰਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਹੱਥਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਹਥੇਲੀਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਉਸ ਦਾ ਹੋਰ ਕੁਝ ਵੀ ਨਾ ਮਿਲਿਆ।
36 ਤਦ ਉਹ ਮੁੜ ਆਏ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, ਇਹ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਉਹ ਬਚਨ ਹੈ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਦਾਸ ਏਲੀਯਾਹ ਤਿਸ਼ਬੀ ਦੇ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਆਖਿਆ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਯਿਜ਼ਰਏਲ ਦੀ ਭੂਮੀ ਦੇ ਖੇਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੁੱਤੇ ਈਜ਼ਬਲ ਦਾ ਮਾਸ ਖਾਣਗੇ।
37 ਅਤੇ ਈਜ਼ਬਲ ਦੀ ਲੋਥ ਯਿਜ਼ਰਏਲ ਦੀ ਭੂਮੀ ਦੇ ਖੇਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਈ ਹੋਈ ਖਾਦ ਵਾਂਗੂੰ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਕੋਈ ਕਹਿ ਨਾ ਸਕੇ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਈਜ਼ਬਲ ਹੈ।
