1 ਸੁਲੇਮਾਨ ਨੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਬਜ਼ੁਰਗਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਗੋਤਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਮੁਖੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਜੋ ਇਸਰਾਏਲੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਪੁਰਖਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਸਨ ਆਪਣੇ ਕੋਲ ਯਰੂਸ਼ਲਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਕੀਤਾ, ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਨੇਮ ਦੇ ਸੰਦੂਕ ਨੂੰ ਦਾਊਦ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰੋਂ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਸੀਯੋਨ ਹੈ, ਉਤਾਹਾਂ ਲੈ ਆਉਣ।
2 ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਸੁਲੇਮਾਨ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਕੋਲ ਏਥਾਨੀਮ ਮਹੀਨੇ ਦੇ ਪਰਬ ਉੱਤੇ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਸੱਤਵੇਂ ਮਹੀਨੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਹੋਏ।
3 ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਬਜ਼ੁਰਗ ਆਏ ਅਤੇ ਸੰਦੂਕ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਜਕਾਂ ਨੇ ਚੁੱਕਿਆ।
4 ਉਹ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਸੰਦੂਕ ਨੂੰ, ਮੰਡਲੀ ਦੇ ਤੰਬੂ ਨੂੰ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਭਾਂਡਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਤੰਬੂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਨ ਉਤਾਹਾਂ ਲਿਆਏ। ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਜਾਜਕ ਤੇ ਲੇਵੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਲਿਆਏ।
5 ਸੁਲੇਮਾਨ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਅਤੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੀ ਸਾਰੀ ਮੰਡਲੀ ਨੇ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਕੋਲ ਸੰਦੂਕ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਇਕੱਠੀ ਹੋਈ ਸੀ ਐਨੀਆਂ ਭੇਡਾਂ ਤੇ ਬਲ਼ਦ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਏ ਕਿ ਬਹੁਤਾਇਤ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਨਾ ਤਾਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਹੋ ਸਕਦੀ ਸੀ, ਤੇ ਨਾ ਹੀ ਲੇਖਾ।
6 ਜਾਜਕ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਨੇਮ ਦੇ ਸੰਦੂਕ ਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਸਥਾਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਰਥਾਤ ਭਵਨ ਦੀ ਵਿਚਲੀ ਕੋਠੜੀ, ਅੱਤ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਸਥਾਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਰੂਬੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਖੰਭਾਂ ਹੇਠ ਲਿਆਏ।
7 ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਕਰੂਬੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਦੋਵੇਂ ਖੰਭ ਸੰਦੂਕ ਦੇ ਸਥਾਨ ਉੱਤੇ ਖਿਲਾਰੇ ਹੋਏ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਕਰੂਬੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਸੰਦੂਕ ਨੂੰ ਤੇ ਉਹ ਦੀਆਂ ਚੋਬਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉੱਤੋਂ ਢੱਕਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ।
8 ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਚੋਬਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੰਮਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਕਿ ਚੋਬਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਿਰੇ ਵਿਚਲੀ ਕੋਠੜੀ ਅੱਗੋਂ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਸਥਾਨ ਤੋਂ ਦਿਸਦੇ ਸਨ ਪਰ ਬਾਹਰੋਂ ਨਹੀਂ ਦਿਸਦੇ ਸਨ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਅੱਜ ਦੇ ਦਿਨ ਤੱਕ ਉੱਥੇ ਹੀ ਹਨ।
9 ਸੰਦੂਕ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੋਹਾਂ ਪੱਥਰਾਂ ਦੀਆਂ ਫੱਟੀਆਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਿਨਾਂ ਹੋਰ ਕੁਝ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੀ ਜਿਹੜੀਆਂ ਮੂਸਾ ਨੇ ਉੱਥੇ ਹੋਰੇਬ ਵਿੱਚ ਰੱਖੀਆਂ ਸਨ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਨੇਮ ਬੰਨ੍ਹਿਆ ਸੀ ਜਦ ਉਹ ਮਿਸਰ ਦੇਸ ਤੋਂ ਨਿੱਕਲੇ ਸਨ।
10 ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਹੋਇਆ ਕਿ ਜਦ ਜਾਜਕ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਸਥਾਨ ਤੋਂ ਨਿੱਕਲੇ ਤਦ ਉਸ ਬੱਦਲ ਨੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਭਵਨ ਨੂੰ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਭਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ
11 ਕਿ ਜਾਜਕ ਬੱਦਲ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਉਪਾਸਨਾ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਖੜ੍ਹੇ ਨਾ ਹੋ ਸਕੇ ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਪਰਤਾਪ ਨੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਭਵਨ ਨੂੰ ਭਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ।
12 ਸੁਲੇਮਾਨ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਫ਼ਰਮਾਇਆ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਘੁੱਪ ਹਨ੍ਹੇਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੱਸੇਗਾ।
13 ਮੈਂ ਜ਼ਰੂਰ ਤੇਰੇ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਉੱਚਾ ਭਵਨ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਤੂੰ ਸਦਾ ਤੱਕ ਰਹੇਂ ਬਣਾਇਆ।
14 ਤਦ ਰਾਜੇ ਨੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੀ ਸਾਰੀ ਸਭਾ ਵੱਲ ਆਪਣਾ ਮੂੰਹ ਫੇਰ ਕੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬਰਕਤ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਤੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੀ ਸਾਰੀ ਸਭਾ ਖੜ੍ਹੀ ਰਹੀ।
15 ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਮੁਬਾਰਕ ਹੋਵੇ ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਦਾਊਦ ਨਾਲ ਆਪਣੇ ਮੂੰਹ ਨਾਲ ਬਚਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਹੱਥ ਨਾਲ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਪੂਰਾ ਵੀ ਕੀਤਾ।
16 ਕਿ ਜਿਸ ਦਿਨ ਤੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੀ ਪਰਜਾ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਸਰ ਦੇਸ਼ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਕੱਢ ਲਿਆਇਆ, ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣਾ ਭਵਨ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦਿਆਂ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਗੋਤਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਕੋਈ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਚੁਣਿਆ ਕਿ ਮੇਰਾ ਨਾਮ ਉੱਥੇ ਰਹੇ, ਪਰ ਮੈਂ ਦਾਊਦ ਨੂੰ ਚੁਣਿਆ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਮੇਰੀ ਪਰਜਾ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਉੱਤੇ ਹੋਵੇ।
17 ਅਤੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਦਾਊਦ ਦੇ ਦਿਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ ਭਵਨ ਬਣਾਵੇ
18 ਪਰ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਮੇਰੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਦਾਊਦ ਨੂੰ ਆਖਿਆ, ਇਸ ਲਈ ਕਿ ਤੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਮ ਲਈ ਭਵਨ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਦੀ ਇੱਛਾ ਸੀ ਤਾਂ ਤੂੰ ਚੰਗਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਤੇਰੇ ਮਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੀ।
19 ਤਾਂ ਵੀ ਤੂੰ ਇਸ ਭਵਨ ਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਬਣਾਵੇਂਗਾ ਸਗੋਂ ਤੇਰਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਤੇਰੀ ਅੰਸ ਤੋਂ ਨਿੱਕਲੇਗਾ ਉਹ ਮੇਰੇ ਨਾਮ ਲਈ ਭਵਨ ਬਣਾਵੇਗਾ।
20 ਸੋ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਉਹ ਬਚਨ ਪੂਰਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਸੀ ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਦਾਊਦ ਦੇ ਥਾਂ ਉੱਠਿਆ ਹਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੀ ਰਾਜ ਗੱਦੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਬੈਠਾ ਹਾਂ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਬਚਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਮੈਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਨਾਮ ਲਈ ਇਹ ਭਵਨ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਹੈ।
21 ਉੱਥੇ ਮੈਂ ਸੰਦੂਕ ਲਈ ਥਾਂ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਨੇਮ ਹੈ ਜੋ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਸਾਡੇ ਪੁਰਖਿਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਬੰਨ੍ਹਿਆ ਜਦ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਸਰ ਦੇਸ ਤੋਂ ਕੱਢਿਆ।
22 ਤਦ ਸੁਲੇਮਾਨ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੀ ਜਗਵੇਦੀ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੀ ਸਾਰੀ ਸਭਾ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਖੜ੍ਹਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਹੱਥ ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਵੱਲ ਚੁੱਕੇ।
23 ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਖਿਆ, ਹੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਤੇਰੇ ਜਿਹਾ ਉਤਾਹਾਂ ਸਵਰਗ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਥਵਾ ਹੇਠਾਂ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਕੋਈ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਨਹੀਂ ਜੋ ਨੇਮ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਰਪਾ ਆਪਣੇ ਦਾਸਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਕਾਇਮ ਰੱਖਦਾ ਹੈ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਪੂਰੇ ਦਿਲ ਨਾਲ ਚੱਲਦੇ ਹਨ।
24 ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਦਾਸ ਮੇਰੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਦਾਊਦ ਨਾਲ ਜੋ ਬਚਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੋ ਪੂਰਾ ਕੀਤਾ। ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਮੂੰਹ ਤੋਂ ਬਚਨ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਹੱਥ ਨਾਲ ਪੂਰਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਅੱਜ ਦੇ ਦਿਨ ਹੈ।
25 ਇਸ ਲਈ ਹੁਣ ਹੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ, ਮੇਰੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਦਾਸ ਦਾਊਦ ਨਾਲ ਜੋ ਬਚਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਪੂਰਾ ਕਰ ਕਿ ਮੇਰੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੀ ਰਾਜ ਗੱਦੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਬੈਠਣ ਲਈ ਤੇਰੇ ਥਾਂ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਦੀ ਥੁੜ ਨਾ ਹੋਵੇਗੀ ਜੇ ਕੇਵਲ ਤੇਰੇ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਆਪਣੇ ਰਾਹ ਉੱਤੇ ਧਿਆਨ ਕਰਨ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਮੇਰੇ ਸਨਮੁਖ ਉਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਚੱਲਣ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਸਨਮੁਖ ਚੱਲਦਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈਂ।
26 ਹੁਣ ਹੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ, ਤੇਰਾ ਬਚਨ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਤੂੰ ਮੇਰੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਦਾਊਦ ਆਪਣੇ ਦਾਸ ਨਾਲ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੱਚਾ ਠਹਿਰਾਇਆ ਜਾਵੇ।
27 ਭਲਾ, ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਸੱਚ-ਮੁੱਚ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਵਾਸ ਕਰੇਗਾ? ਵੇਖ, ਸਵਰਗ ਸਗੋਂ ਸਵਰਗਾਂ ਦੇ ਸਵਰਗ ਤੈਨੂੰ ਨਹੀਂ ਸੰਭਾਲ ਸਕੇ, ਫਿਰ ਕਿਵੇਂ ਇਹ ਭਵਨ ਜੋ ਮੈਂ ਬਣਾਇਆ?
28 ਹੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਮੇਰੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ, ਆਪਣੇ ਦਾਸ ਦੀ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਅਰਦਾਸ ਵੱਲ ਧਿਆਨ ਕਰ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੁਹਾਈ ਅਤੇ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਣ ਲੈ ਜੋ ਤੇਰਾ ਦਾਸ ਅੱਜ ਤੇਰੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਕਰਦਾ ਹੈ।
29 ਤੇਰੀਆਂ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਰਾਤ-ਦਿਨ ਇਸ ਭਵਨ ਵੱਲ ਖੁੱਲ੍ਹੀਆਂ ਰਹਿਣ ਅਰਥਾਤ ਇਸ ਸਥਾਨ ਵੱਲ ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਵਿਖੇ ਤੂੰ ਫ਼ਰਮਾਇਆ ਸੀ ਕਿ ਮੇਰਾ ਨਾਮ ਉੱਥੇ ਰਹੇਗਾ, ਆਪਣੇ ਦਾਸ ਦੀ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਨੂੰ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਇਸ ਸਥਾਨ ਵੱਲ ਕਰੇ ਸੁਣ ਲਈਂ।
30 ਆਪਣੇ ਦਾਸ ਦੀ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਪਰਜਾ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੀਆਂ ਬੇਨਤੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਣ ਲਈਂ ਜਦ ਉਹ ਇਸ ਸਥਾਨ ਵੱਲ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਕਰਨ, ਸਗੋਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਵਰਗੀ ਭਵਨ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਸੁਣ ਲਈਂ ਅਤੇ ਸੁਣ ਕੇ ਮਾਫ਼ ਕਰੀਂ।
31 ਜੇ ਕੋਈ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਆਪਣੇ ਗੁਆਂਢੀ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਪਾਪ ਕਰੇ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਤੋਂ ਸਹੁੰ ਖਵਾਈ ਜਾਵੇ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਸਹੁੰ ਇਸ ਭਵਨ ਦੀ ਜਗਵੇਦੀ ਅੱਗੇ ਖਾਧੀ ਜਾਵੇ।
32 ਤਾਂ ਤੂੰ ਸਵਰਗ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਸੁਣ ਲਈਂ ਅਤੇ ਕੰਮ ਕਰੀਂ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਦਾਸਾਂ ਦਾ ਨਿਆਂ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਰੀਂ ਕਿ ਬੁਰੇ ਨੂੰ ਤੂੰ ਦੋਸ਼ੀ ਠਹਿਰਾਵੇਂ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਦਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਸਿਰ ਉੱਤੇ ਆਵੇ ਅਤੇ ਧਰਮੀ ਨੂੰ ਧਰਮੀ ਠਹਿਰਾਵੇਂ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਧਰਮ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਉਹ ਨੂੰ ਬਦਲਾ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਾਵੇ।
33 ਜਦ ਤੇਰੀ ਪਰਜਾ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਵੈਰੀ ਦੇ ਅੱਗਿਓਂ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਮਾਰੀ ਜਾਵੇ ਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਤੇਰਾ ਪਾਪ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੋਵੇ ਤਾਂ ਜੇ ਉਹ ਤੇਰੀ ਵੱਲ ਫਿਰਨ ਤੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਮੰਨ ਲੈਣ ਤੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਸਨਮੁਖ ਇਸ ਭਵਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਅਤੇ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਕਰਨ।
34 ਤਦ ਤੂੰ ਸਵਰਗ ਤੋਂ ਸੁਣ ਕੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਪਰਜਾ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਪਾਪ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਫ਼ ਕਰੀਂ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਦੇਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਜੋ ਤੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਪੁਰਖਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ ਮੋੜ ਲਿਆਵੀਂ।
35 ਜਦ ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਬੰਦ ਹੋਵੇ ਅਤੇ ਮੀਂਹ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਨਾ ਪਵੇ ਕਿ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਤੇਰਾ ਪਾਪ ਕੀਤਾ ਤਾਂ ਜੇ ਉਹ ਇਸ ਸਥਾਨ ਵੱਲ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਕਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਮੰਨ ਲੈਣ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਾਪਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਮੁੜਨ ਜਦ ਤੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੋਵੇ।
36 ਤਦ ਤੂੰ ਸਵਰਗ ਤੋਂ ਸੁਣ ਕੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਦਾਸਾਂ ਤੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਪਰਜਾ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਪਾਪ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਫ਼ ਕਰੀਂ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਤੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਚੰਗਾ ਰਾਹ ਜਿਹ ਦੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤੁਰਨਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ ਸਿਖਾਵੇਂ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਦੇਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਜੋ ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਪਰਜਾ ਨੂੰ ਵਿਰਸੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ ਮੀਂਹ ਵਰਾਈਂ।
37 ਜੇ ਦੇਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਾਲ ਜਾਂ ਬਵਾ ਪੈ ਜਾਵੇ ਜਾਂ ਔੜ ਜਾਂ ਕੁੰਗੀ ਜਾਂ ਸਲਾ ਜਾਂ ਸੁੰਡੀ ਟੋਕਾ ਆ ਪਵੇ ਅਤੇ ਜੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਵੈਰੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਦੇਸ ਦੇ ਫਾਟਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਘੇਰ ਲੈਣ ਅਤੇ ਜੇ ਕੋਈ ਕਸ਼ਟ ਜਾਂ ਰੋਗ ਆ ਪਵੇ।
38 ਜੋ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਜਾਂ ਅਰਦਾਸ ਤੇਰੀ ਸਾਰੀ ਪਰਜਾ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਕਿਸੇ ਆਦਮੀ ਤੋਂ ਕੀਤੀ ਜਾਵੇ ਜੋ ਆਪਣੇ ਹੀ ਮਨ ਦਾ ਕਸ਼ਟ ਜਾਣੇ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਹੱਥ ਇਸ ਭਵਨ ਵੱਲ ਅੱਡੇ।
39 ਤਦ ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਵਰਗੀ ਭਵਨ ਤੋਂ ਸੁਣ ਕੇ ਮਾਫ਼ ਕਰੀਂ ਅਤੇ ਕੰਮ ਕਰੀਂ ਅਤੇ ਹਰ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਨੂੰ ਉਹ ਦੀਆਂ ਸਾਰੀਆਂ ਚਾਲਾਂ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਬਦਲਾ ਦੇਈਂ ਜਿਸ ਦੇ ਦਿਲ ਨੂੰ ਤੂੰ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹੈਂ ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਤੂੰ ਹਾਂ ਤੂੰ ਹੀ ਮਨੁੱਖਾਂ ਦੇ ਦਿਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਣਦਾ ਹੈਂ।
40 ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਜੀਉਣ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਦਿਨ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਉਹ ਉਸ ਭੂਮੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਗੁਜ਼ਾਰਨ ਜਿਹ ਨੂੰ ਤੂੰ ਸਾਡੇ ਪੁਰਖਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ ਤੇਰੇ ਕੋਲੋਂ ਡਰਨ।
41 ਨਾਲੇ ਉਸ ਪਰਦੇਸੀ ਦੇ ਵਿਖੇ ਵੀ ਜੋ ਤੇਰੀ ਪਰਜਾ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ ਪਰ ਦੂਰ ਦੇਸ ਤੋਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਮ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ ਆਇਆ ਹੈ।
42 ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਤੇਰਾ ਵੱਡਾ ਨਾਮ, ਬਲਵਾਨ ਹੱਥ ਅਤੇ ਪਸਾਰੀ ਹੋਈ ਬਾਂਹ ਦੀ ਖ਼ਬਰ ਸੁਣਨਗੇ ਸੋ ਜਦ ਉਹ ਆਵੇ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਭਵਨ ਵੱਲ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਕਰੇ।
43 ਤਦ ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਵਰਗੀ ਭਵਨ ਤੋਂ ਸੁਣ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਓਪਰੇ ਦੀ ਸਾਰੀ ਦੁਹਾਈ ਅਨੁਸਾਰ ਕਰੀਂ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਧਰਤੀ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਮ ਨੂੰ ਜਾਣ ਲੈਣ ਅਤੇ ਤੇਰਾ ਭੈਅ ਮੰਨਣ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਤੇਰੀ ਪਰਜਾ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਕਰਦੀ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਜਾਣ ਲੈਣ ਕਿ ਇਹ ਭਵਨ ਜਿਹ ਨੂੰ ਮੈਂ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਹੈ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਮ ਦਾ ਕਹਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ।
44 ਜਦ ਤੇਰੀ ਪਰਜਾ ਆਪਣੇ ਵੈਰੀ ਨਾਲ ਯੁੱਧ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਨਿੱਕਲੇ ਜਿਸ ਰਾਹ ਤੋਂ ਤੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਭੇਜੇਂ ਅਤੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਅੱਗੇ ਇਸ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਵੱਲ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਤੂੰ ਚੁਣਿਆ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਭਵਨ ਵੱਲ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਮ ਲਈ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਹੈ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਕਰਨ।
45 ਤਾਂ ਤੂੰ ਸਵਰਗ ਤੋਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਸੁਣ ਲਈਂ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਹੱਕ ਦਾ ਨਿਆਂ ਕਰੀਂ।
46 ਜੇ ਉਹ ਪਾਪ ਕਰਨ ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਕੋਈ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਅਜਿਹਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਜੋ ਪਾਪ ਨਾ ਕਰੇ ਅਤੇ ਤੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਕ੍ਰੋਧਵਾਨ ਹੋਵੇਂ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੈਰੀ ਦੇ ਹੱਥ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਦੇਵੇਂ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬੰਦੀ ਬਣਾ ਕੇ ਵੈਰੀ ਦੇ ਦੇਸ ਲੈ ਜਾਣ ਭਾਵੇਂ ਦੂਰ ਭਾਵੇਂ ਨੇੜੇ।
47 ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਉਸ ਦੇਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਉਹ ਬੰਦੀ ਬਣ ਕੇ ਪਹੁੰਚਾਏ ਗਏ ਹੋਣ ਆਪਣੇ ਮਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਧਿਆਨ ਕਰਨ ਅਤੇ ਪਛਤਾਉਣ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਬੰਦੀ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਦੇਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਤੇਰੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਇਹ ਆਖ ਕੇ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਕਰਨ ਕਿ ਅਸੀਂ ਪਾਪ ਕੀਤਾ, ਅਸੀਂ ਅਪਰਾਧ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਅਸੀਂ ਬਦੀ ਕੀਤੀ।
48 ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਵੈਰੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਦੇਸ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਬੰਦੀ ਬਣਾਇਆ ਉਹ ਤੇਰੀ ਵੱਲ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਮਨ ਤੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਸਾਰੀ ਜਾਨ ਨਾਲ ਮੁੜਨ ਅਤੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਦੇਸ ਵੱਲ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਕਰਨ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਤੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਪੁਰਖਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਵੱਲ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਤੂੰ ਚੁਣਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਇਸ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਵੱਲ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਮੈਂ ਤੇਰੇ ਨਾਮ ਲਈ ਬਣਾਇਆ।
49 ਤਾਂ ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਸਵਰਗੀ ਭਵਨ ਤੋਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰਾਰਥਨਾ ਅਤੇ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਸੁਣ ਲਈਂ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਹੱਕ ਦਾ ਨਿਆਂ ਕਰੀਂ।
50 ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਤੇਰਾ ਪਾਪ ਕੀਤਾ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਿਆਂ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਅਪਰਾਧਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਤੇਰੀ ਉਲੰਘਣਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਮਾਫ਼ ਕਰੀਂ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਬੰਦੀ ਬਣਾਉਣ ਵਾਲਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਦਯਾ ਪ੍ਰਾਪਤ ਕਰਨ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਰਹਿਮ ਕਰਨ।
51 ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਇਹ ਤੇਰੀ ਪਰਜਾ ਤੇ ਤੇਰੀ ਵਿਰਾਸਤ ਹੈ ਜਿਹ ਨੂੰ ਤੂੰ ਮਿਸਰ ਤੋਂ ਲੋਹੇ ਦੀ ਭੱਠੀ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਕੱਢਿਆ ਹੈ।
52 ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਤੇਰੀਆਂ ਅੱਖਾਂ ਆਪਣੇ ਦਾਸ ਦੀ ਅਰਦਾਸ ਵੱਲ ਅਤੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਪਰਜਾ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੀ ਅਰਦਾਸ ਵੱਲ ਖੁੱਲ੍ਹੀਆਂ ਰਹਿਣ ਕਿ ਤੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਾਰੀ ਦੁਹਾਈ ਨੂੰ ਜੋ ਉਹ ਤੇਰੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਦੇਣ ਸੁਣੇਂ।
53 ਕਿਉਂ ਜੋ ਤੂੰ ਹੇ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਧਰਤੀ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਆਪਣੀ ਵਿਰਾਸਤ ਹੋਣ ਲਈ ਵੱਖਰਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਤੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਦਾਸ ਮੂਸਾ ਦੇ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਬਚਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਦ ਤੂੰ ਸਾਡੇ ਪੁਰਖਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਿਸਰ ਤੋਂ ਕੱਢਿਆ।
54 ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਹੋਇਆ ਕਿ ਜਦ ਸੁਲੇਮਾਨ ਇਹ ਸਾਰੀ ਬੇਨਤੀ ਤੇ ਅਰਦਾਸ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਕਰ ਚੁੱਕਿਆ ਤਾਂ ਉਹ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੀ ਜਗਵੇਦੀ ਦੇ ਅੱਗਿਓਂ ਉੱਠ ਖੜ੍ਹਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਜਿੱਥੇ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਗੋਡੇ ਨਿਵਾ ਕੇ ਤੇ ਹੱਥ ਅਕਾਸ਼ ਵੱਲ ਅੱਡ ਕੇ ਬੈਠਾ ਸੀ।
55 ਉਹ ਖੜ੍ਹਾ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੀ ਸਾਰੀ ਸਭਾ ਨੂੰ ਉੱਚੀ ਅਵਾਜ਼ ਨਾਲ ਬਰਕਤ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਕਿ
56 ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਮੁਬਾਰਕ ਹੋਵੇ ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਪਰਜਾ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਨੂੰ ਸੁੱਖ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਉਸ ਬਚਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਸੀ। ਉਸ ਸਾਰੇ ਚੰਗੇ ਬਚਨ ਤੋਂ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਦਾਸ ਮੂਸਾ ਦੇ ਰਾਹੀਂ ਕੀਤਾ ਇੱਕ ਵੀ ਗੱਲ ਖਾਲੀ ਨਾ ਗਈ।
57 ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਸਾਡਾ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਸਾਡੇ ਅੰਗ-ਸੰਗ ਹੋਵੇ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਉਹ ਸਾਡੇ ਪੁਰਖਿਆਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਸੀ, ਉਹ ਨਾ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਤਿਆਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਨਾ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਛੱਡੇ।
58 ਉਹ ਸਾਡੇ ਮਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਵੱਲ ਫੇਰੇ ਕਿ ਅਸੀਂ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਰਾਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਚੱਲੀਏ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਹੁਕਮ ਬਿਧੀਆਂ ਤੇ ਨਿਆਂ ਮੰਨੀਏ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਉਸ ਸਾਡੇ ਪੁਰਖਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਹੁਕਮ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ।
59 ਅਤੇ ਇਹ ਮੇਰੀਆਂ ਗੱਲਾਂ ਜਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਮੈਂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਅੱਗੇ ਅਰਦਾਸ ਕੀਤੀ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਸਾਡੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਨੇੜੇ ਦਿਨ ਰਾਤ ਰਹਿਣ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਦਾਸ ਦੇ ਹੱਕ ਦਾ ਨਿਆਂ ਕਰੇ ਨਾਲੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਪਰਜਾ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਹੱਕ ਦਾ ਨਿਆਂ ਰੋਜ਼ ਕਾਇਮ ਰੱਖੋ।
60 ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਧਰਤੀ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਲੋਕ ਜਾਣ ਲੈਣ ਕਿ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਹੀ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਰ ਕੋਈ ਨਹੀਂ।
61 ਤੁਹਾਡਾ ਮਨ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਸਾਡੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਲਈ ਸੰਪੂਰਨ ਹੋਵੇ ਕਿ ਤੁਸੀਂ ਉਹ ਦੀਆਂ ਬਿਧੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਚੱਲੋ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਦੇ ਹੁਕਮਾਂ ਦੀ ਪਾਲਨਾ ਕਰੋ ਜਿਵੇਂ ਅੱਜ ਦੇ ਦਿਨ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ।
62 ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਨੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਬਲੀਆਂ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਈਆਂ।
63 ਸੋ ਸੁਲੇਮਾਨ ਨੇ ਸੁੱਖ-ਸਾਂਦ ਦੀਆਂ ਬਲੀਆਂ ਲਈ ਜਿਹ ਨੂੰ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਅੱਗੇ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਇਆ ਬਾਈ ਹਜ਼ਾਰ ਬਲ਼ਦ ਤੇ ਇੱਕ ਲੱਖ ਵੀਹ ਹਜ਼ਾਰ ਭੇਡਾਂ ਸਨ। ਸੋ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਤੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਭਵਨ ਨੂੰ ਅਰਪਣ ਕੀਤਾ।
64 ਉਸ ਦਿਨ ਪਾਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਵਿਹੜੇ ਦੇ ਵਿਚਕਾਰਲੇ ਹਿੱਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਜੋ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਭਵਨ ਦੇ ਸਾਹਮਣੇ ਸੀ ਪਵਿੱਤਰ ਠਹਿਰਾਇਆ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਹੋਮ ਦੀਆਂ ਬਲੀਆਂ, ਮੈਦੇ ਦੀਆਂ ਭੇਟਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਸੁੱਖ-ਸਾਂਦ ਦੀਆਂ ਬਲੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਚਰਬੀ ਉੱਥੇ ਇਸ ਲਈ ਚੜ੍ਹਾਈ ਕਿ ਪਿੱਤਲ ਦੀ ਜਗਵੇਦੀ ਜਿਹੜੀ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਸੀ ਛੋਟੀ ਸੀ ਅਤੇ ਹੋਮ ਦੀਆਂ ਬਲੀਆਂ, ਮੈਦੇ ਦੀਆਂ ਭੇਟਾਂ ਤੇ ਸੁੱਖ-ਸਾਂਦ ਦੀਆਂ ਬਲੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਚਰਬੀ ਉੱਥੇ ਨਹੀਂ ਸਮਾ ਸਕਦੀ ਸੀ।
65 ਇਸ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਸੁਲੇਮਾਨ ਨੇ ਉਸ ਵੇਲੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਸਣੇ ਜੋ ਇੱਕ ਬਹੁਤ ਵੱਡੀ ਸਭਾ ਸੀ ਲਬੋ ਹਮਾਥ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਦੇ ਲਾਂਘੇ ਤੋਂ ਮਿਸਰ ਦੀ ਨਦੀ ਤੱਕ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਸਾਡੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ ਦੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਉਸ ਪਰਬ ਨੂੰ ਮਨਾਇਆ ਸੱਤ ਦਿਨ ਫੇਰ ਸੱਤ ਦਿਨ ਅਰਥਾਤ ਚੌਦਾਂ ਦਿਨ ਲੱਗੇ।
