Description

Headship isn't about one person being more important or capable than the other. Like a head and body, both are vital. It's about different roles, not silencing or oppressing anyone. It’s to clarify misunderstandings. #Headship #Relationships #Roles #MarriageAdvice

So there's a lot of misunderstandings about this, so I want to start out with clarifying a few things that headship is not. Headship is not about importance. It's not that one is more important than the other. After all, which is more important, your head or the rest of your body? Actually, if you don't have a head, it's not a body. It's a corpse. And vice versa, if a body doesn't have a head, there isn't a body. It's a corpse. So it's not about importance. It's not about ability. So in generalities, men tend to be this way, women tend to be this way, and we are built for our roles. It doesn't mean that a wife couldn't do what's her husband's responsibility or that the husband couldn't do the wife's responsibility.

Headship is not to favor men. This doesn't give men more rights and privileges. It's not to silence or oppress.
