Faith Alone: What the Bible REALLY Says!

Lesson Transcript

For other listeners, did Paul really say, "Faith alone"? No, Paul never uses the expression, "Faith alone." That's what people quote Paul as saying. Yeah, thank you. I assume that most of you realize, and I do need to clarify that. Yeah, Paul says, "You are saved by faith," or, "By grace through faith." Paul never says, "You are saved by faith alone." In fact, there's only one place in the whole New Testament where that phrase, "Faith alone," is used. Does anyone know where that is? James 2:24.

James 2:24, where he says, "You are not saved by faith alone." That is the only place where that expression appears. So yes, thank you for clarifying that for anyone who's watching this, or for those of you who are present.
