About Jonah 1
Called to preach against Nineveh, Jonah boards a ship for Tarshish to flee the presence of the LORD โ and the LORD hurls a great storm after him. Exposed by lots and confessing he fears the God who made the sea and the dry land, Jonah is thrown overboard at his own request, the sea goes still, and a great fish appointed by God swallows him for three days and three nights.
