“Here I Am, Lord,” also known by its opening line “I, the Lord of sea and sky,” was written by Daniel L. Schutte, one of the St. Louis Jesuits, in 1981. Its refrain echoes Isaiah’s response to God’s call, “Here am I; send me.”
