Unveiling Scripture: Starting with a Blank Slate David Bercot

Lesson Transcript

That's what we need to do is, okay, let's just hear Scripture speak. But it's hard to have a blank slate when your mind has already been indoctrinated. And indoctrination is not a bad thing. I mean, that's what we do here every Sunday. I mean, that's what a church is supposed to do. Parents are supposed to teach you.

I mean, so indoctrination isn't in itself a bad thing, but it does mean that, yeah, most of us, we think, okay, I'm just picking up and reading Romans, and you're reading Martin Luther every way you go, not even realizing that.
