You know, our laws allow a woman to divorce her husband, and she's almost certain to get custody. And then you have a home with only a mother raising the child, and the father doesn't have any other say beyond that. He can't say what religion his children are going to be, or, you know, where they're going to live, or anything like that. The mother has this sole say on that.

Now, you'd think, like I say, because the government knows how this turns out so much of the time, that there would be strong disincentives for people getting divorced, that, okay, if they want to get divorced, wait till their children are raised, and let's really make it hard. But that's not how the law works.
