So we got to understand there's two phases: that yes, we do get saved, we are saved, but the Scriptures use several tenses, both past, present, and future, in talking about our salvation. So let's look at some of the verses that apply to the first phase. "For by grace you have been saved." What's the tense? It's past or past perfect. "You have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, that no one would boast." Okay? So we don't try to hide that.
We don't, you know, hide that verse. We have no problem with that verse. We've all experienced this if we are a born-again Christian. Okay? We have been saved through faith.
