Lesson Transcript

That, you know, five years from now, no church teaches this, no Baptist church, no Charismatic church, no—no, any church. They've never heard of this doctrine of Luther. No one teaches it; it just disappeared. I mean, can any of us believe that would happen? There's no trace, just—it's just gone. Well, that would be the case if his gospel is true.

Yet Paul had told Timothy, "The things that you heard from me among many witnesses, commit these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also." He said this right at the end of his life. That's his last letter, 2 Timothy. So the gospel was passed down from the apostles to the disciples of the apostles, and then to the disciples of those men. I have written to you, fathers, because you have known him from the beginning. From the beginning. So they're in good shape.

I've written to you, young men, because you are strong, and the word of God abides in you, and you have overcome the wicked one. So everything was in good shape, AD 95.
