Lesson Transcript
All right, so stage one, there are two stages. Stage one, we are saved by grace through faith at the time that we, one, believe in Christ; two, repent of our sins; and three, are baptized. No prior works are required. You don't first have to do a bunch of good things before you get baptized, before you believe in Christ. When we read there on the day of Pentecost, Peter preached Christ to them. They believed. He told them to repent.
He didn't tell them, "Now go back and do this, do this, do this, get your life all straight." No, just repent and then be baptized for the forgiveness of your sins.
