Romans: Faith, Obedience, and Gentile Salvation Explained

And here Paul puts the two right together: obedience to the faith. You have faith, and you've got obedience. They're right there together. And he's going to be talking about that throughout Romans. He's going to show, "You're saved by faith," and then he's going to be talking about salvation through obedience as well. He's going to show, "Hey, both things work together," and we're going to see as we go through Romans how that works. He just hints a bit here. For obedience to the faith among all the Gentiles.

So since he's been called to appear before all the Gentiles, well, that includes Rome. You know, you're under my authority as an apostle because you're a Gentile city. All right, verse six, "Among whom you also are the called ones of Jesus Christ."
