Getting on the vine isn't the end. Jesus tells us, He says that if you don't produce fruit, you'll ultimately be cut off of the vine and thrown into the fire. So, yeah, those are the two stages. It's first getting on the vine, the cleansing that has to take first place first. We become a branch on the vine. The second phase is living out our life, remaining on the vine until the day of our death. Jesus said it's going to depend on your producing fruit.
