Paul was certainly intelligent, and he was writing under inspiration. So I don't think he just, you know, goofed here. I think he decided to have a double analogy and put them all in. If you don't grasp it one way, all right, look at it this way. You know, either way, the law—you're not under the law. You know, in one sense, it's dead, and so you're not under it because it's dead. In another sense, even if you want to think it's alive, you're dead to it, so you're free from it.
Either way, Paul is covering everything.
