This is Paul, Romans 2:6, who will render to every man according to what? According to his works. This is Paul. He doesn't contradict Jesus. He says the same thing that Jesus says. Yeah, I know what people will say, though. Okay, Paul is saying that Christians will receive varying rewards based on their works.
That, yes, if you've done a lot for Christ, if you've really shown a lot of love to people and you've done that, yeah, you're going to have a greater reward in heaven than somebody who's just done very, very little. But they say, no, Paul's not talking about our ultimate salvation. Well, then let's look at what he says next. Romans 2:7-9, eternal life to those who by patient continuance in good works seek for glory and honor and immortality. No, he's not talking about extra rewards, which there are.
I mean, there will be different rewards based on what our life has been. But no, when he's talking about a judgment based on works, he says eternal life to those who by patient continuance in good works.
