Because at the heart of Leviticus, behind all of the sacrifices and offerings, behind all of the dietary restrictions and the purity laws and the ceremonies and the festivals, they all boil down to two things: to love your God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength, and likewise to love your neighbor as yourself.
And so when we read through Leviticus, we should be keeping that at the forefront of our mind, that the entire book of Leviticus can be summed up and was meant to bring people to love God and to love their neighbors.
