Jewish Gospel: Isaiah's Prophecy Explained

Lesson Transcript

Look, I know the unbelieving Jews think I'm preaching something new and different, but all of this is right there in the Jewish Scriptures. It's right there. Your prophets had foretold all of this beforehand. It's not anything new. For example, I'll read to you Isaiah 52:7. "How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him who brings good news." Now, in the Greek, that's the exact same word as gospel.

So we should probably read it, "Are the feet of him who brings the gospel, who proclaims peace, who brings glad tidings." That's maybe the same word again, gospel, of good things. "Who proclaims salvation, who says to Zion, 'Your God reigns.'" So we're saying, no, all of this was foretold by the prophets. This isn't anything new.
