You're going to fall in the ditch. You're both going to end up the same place. So find people who do know. They've been there. They have experience. They know how these things work out, and they've navigated those things well. They've learned from their experiences. Listen to people who have more experience than you, and listen to people who are becoming, who are being something that you want to become.
I didn't realize this before, but the rest of that verse about the blind leading the blind, the next verse Jesus says, "A disciple, someone who is being trained, is not above his trainer, his teacher, but everyone who is perfectly trained will become just like the one who's training him." So find people that you want to be like because you're not going to get further than the person that you're following. Think carefully about that.
