It's all of faith and grace. We in no way merit this salvation. Now, when I say stage one, I'm not implying that, oh, we're half saved at that point. We're, okay, we're half saved, but we're still another half coming. No, we are fully saved at that point. But there's a big but, and that's what's not preached in most Protestant churches. The journey is not over. What happens at stage one? What does it mean that we're saved? It means all of our past sins are washed away. We start with a clean slate.
If we die immediately after being saved, we would go straight to paradise.
