Be kindly affectionate to one another with brotherly love, and honor giving preference to one another. Be of the same mind toward one another. Do not set your mind on haughty things, but associate with the lowly. Do not be wise in your own opinion. Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind, let each esteem others better than himself. Selfish ambition referring to the idea that you're going to get above other people.
Banish therefore every thought of self-pride and self-distinction. And accustom yourself to rejoice in all the excellencies and perfections of your fellow creatures, and be as glad to see any of their good actions as your own. A reinforcement of what the Apostle Paul said there in Romans, and what we saw in Philippians. That we're rejoicing in the good actions of other people.
