Lesson Transcript

Good evening to everyone. Let's sing number 91. Number 91. Go. I will whistle thee, O my God, embrace thee, O my King. Yay, every day and evermore Thy praises I will sing. Great is the Lord, our mighty God, and greatly to be praised. His greatness is unsearchable, above all glory raised. Each generation to the next shall testimony bear, and to Thy praise from age to age Thy wondrousest declare. Upon Thy glorious majesty and honor I will dwell, and all Thy grand and glorious works and all Thy greatness tell.

Thy mighty axe and arrow shall men with all profess; of Thy great goodness they shall sing and worthy righteousness. Most gracious and compassionate is God, who reigns above. His wrath is ever slow to rise; unbounded is His love. Number 79. 79. For so many. And you shall solely higher and lowly sing the praises of the Lord. Earth and sky, all living nature, beck the step of Thy Creator. Praise thee, praise thee, God of God. Far and entrymanland, and sea man earth, with peoples widely soar.

Wonder, Lord, all prairies and wolf, all voice-flaring castle temple. Praise thee, praise thee, God of God. Praise thee, revered Thou just Giver, praising Father, friend, and Lord. Each man's soul is free for singing; each man's voice is free song-singing. Praise the great and mighty Lord. Worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness; bow down before Him, His glory proclaim. With God of obedience and incense of holiness, kneel and adore Him; the Lord is His name.

Fear not to enter His presence in poverty, bearing no years to present as your own. Truth in its beauty and love in its purity; these are the offerings to lay at His throne. Worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness; bow down before Him, His glory proclaim. With God of obedience and incense of holiness, kneel and adore Him; the Lord is His name. We worship You, Lord. Amen. Good evening. It's good to be here with you this evening and share in song with you.

The first two songs that we open up with is a song of call to worship, and then our next song is a song of praise to God. And then the next three songs are songs about our reliance and trust in God. Oh, hail the power of Jesus' name. Let angels prostrate fall. Let angels prostrate fall. Bring forth the royal diadem and crown Him. Crown Him. Crown Him. Crown Him. Crown Him. Crown Him. Crown, Him, and crown Him, Lord of all. Eternal Father, when to Thee, beyond all worlds, Thy faith I shore.

Before Thy boundless majesty, I stand in silence and adore. My Savior, Thou art by my side. Thy voice I hear, Thy face I see. Thou art my friend, my daily guide. God over all, yet God with me. God over all, yet God with me. Lord, Thou hast searched and singing me through. Thy night cometh with thee here in view, my rising and my resting hours. My heart and flesh which with all their powers, within Thy circling power I stand. On every side I find Thy hand. Awake us, we that home abroad.

I am surrounded still with God. Jesus, stand among us in Thy risen power. Let this time of worship be a hallowed hour. Breathe the Holy Spirit into every heart, bithou fears and sorrows from each so deep heart. Gracious Father, O Lord, hear us when we call upon Thee. O Lord, hear us, send down Thy love. O Lord, upon us, merciful Father. O Lord, hear us, hear our prayer. Hear our prayer. Amen. O that with yonder sacred throne we at His feet may fall. We at His feet may fall, will join the everlasting song.

And crown Him, crown Him, crown Him, crown Him. Crown Him, crown Him, crown Him and crown Him, Lord of all. And crown Him, Lord of all. All of the Lord, all of the Lord. For the Lord. For the Lord preserveth the faithful. All of the Lord. All of the Lord. All of the Lord. For the Lord. For the Lord preserveth the faithful. Be strong. Be strong. Be strong in the Lord, and He shall establish, establish your heart. Shall establish. Be strong.

Be strong in the Lord, and He shall establish, establish, establish your heart. And He shall establish your heart. Ah, ye who put your trust in the Lord. Ah, ye who put your trust in the Lord. Be strong.

Be strong in the Lord, and He shall establish. And He shall establish. And He shall establish. And He shall establish your heart. Ah, ye who put your trust in the Lord. Ah, ye who put your trust in the Lord. Through You, O Lord, do I lift up my soul. O God, are I trusting You? Let me not be ashamed. Let not my foes triumph over me. Through You, Lord, I lift up my soul. Through You, O Lord, do I lift up my soul. O God, are I trusting You? Let me not be ashamed. Let not my foes triumph over me.

Through You, Lord, I lift up my soul. Show me Your ways. Teach me Your paths. Lord, lead me in Your truth and teach me. For You are the God of my salvation. On You do I rest all the day. Through You, O Lord, do I lift up my soul. O God, are I trusting You? Let me not be ashamed. Let not my foes triumph over me. Through You, Lord, I lift up my soul.

If it seems that the world is on Your shoulders while singing beneath the hill You're trying to climb, just ask the Lord to come and be Your Savior, and He'll climb with You all the time. Try God. Try God when the way grows weary that You trudge. Try prayer. Try prayer when the load is heavy that You bear. Let's try love. Try love, shall the world around us that we care. Let's try love, try prayer, try God. He set my feet on higher ground, friend like no other in Him I found.

He lifted me when I was down, and by His grace I'm heaven-bound. Try God. Try God when the way grows weary that You trudge. Try prayer. Try prayer when the load is heavy that You bear. Let's try love. Try love, shall the world around us that we care. Let's try love, try prayer, try God. Try God. Try God when the way grows weary that You trudge. Try prayer. Try prayer when the load is heavy that You bear. Let's try love. Try love, shall the world around us that we care. Let's try love, try prayer, try God.

Let's try love, try prayer, try God. Let's try God. As you may have noticed in your bulletin, the theme of our program tonight is "Light for the World." So the next songs that we sing for basically the rest of the program have to do with serving the Lord in His ministry. I'd rather be a servant in Your heavenly house than to be a king living anywhere else. I'd rather spend one day in Your heavenly house than a thousand days living anywhere else. Now I offer myself to You. All to You I freely offer.

All to You I freely give. I'll forever love and trust You in Your presence freely give. I'd rather be a servant in Your heavenly house than to be a king living anywhere else. I'd rather live one day in Your heavenly house than a thousand days living anywhere else. Now I offer myself to You. To You. O Lord, I offer all back to You as thanks for all You give me. Lord, I offer all back to You in thanks for all You give me. For all You give, I lift my life to You.

I'd rather be a servant in Your heavenly house than to be a king living anywhere else. I'd rather spend one day in Your heavenly house than a thousand days living anywhere else. Lord, I offer all back to You as thanks for all You give me. Lord, I offer all back to You in thanks for all You give me. For all You give, I lift my life to You. I'd rather be a servant in Your heavenly house than to be a king living anywhere else. I'd rather live one day in Your heavenly house than a thousand days living anywhere else.

Now I offer myself to You. Now I offer myself. Lord, I offer myself to You. Longing for light, we wait in darkness. Longing for truth, we turn to You. Make us Your own, Your holy people. Light for the world to see. Christ, be our light. Shine in our hearts. Shine through the darkness. Christ, be our light. Shine in Your church gathered today. Longing for peace, our world is troubled. Longing for home, many despair. Your word alone has far to save us. Make us Your living Lord. Christ, be our light.

Shine in our hearts. Shine through the darkness. Christ, be our light. Shine in Your church gathered today. Longing for food, many are hungry. Longing for water, many still thirst. Make us Your bread, broken for others. Shared until all are fed. Christ, be our light. Shine in our hearts. Shine through the darkness. Christ, be our light. Shine in Your church gathered today. Many the gifts, many the people. Many the hearts that yearn to belong. Let us be servants to one another. Make Your kingdom come.

Christ, be our light. Shine in our hearts. Shine through the darkness. Christ, be our light. Shine in Your church gathered today. Let us sing together number 572. 572. Verse 2 will have the folks about mid-40s and up sing that verse. The rest of us will listen. And verse 4, around mid-40s and down, we'll sing that verse. So the older folks singing verse 2 and the younger half singing verse 4. All of us will sing 1, 3, and 5. Jesus, thy boundless love. Jesus, thy boundless love to me. No thought can reach the.

Around declare. Unite my faithful heart to thee and reign without arrival there. Thy holy light above my air. My soul with constant love hath faith. Thy love hath cheering in this prayer. All pain before His presence lies. Care, anguish, sorrow belt away. Where errors healing things arise. O Jesus, nothing may I seek. Nothing desire or seek but Thee. O draw me, Savior, after Thee. So shall I run and never tire. With gracious words You comfort me. Below my hope, my soul desire. Remove from every way Your fear.

Your sin can come if Thou art near. Still lest Thy bound voice house my way. How wondrous things Thy love hath brought. Still leave me lest, I go astray. Direct my work, inspire my thought. And if I fall, soon pray I hear Thy voice and know that love is near. In suffering be Thy love, my peace. In weakness be Thy love, my power. And when the storms of light shall cease, Jesus, in that importance hour. In death as light, be Thou my guide. And save me who for me has died. Number 348. 348.

We'll stand for this and the next song. In Christ there is no east or west. In Him no south or north. Five hundred fellowship of love throughout the whole wide earth. In Him shall true hearts everywhere their high communion find. In service is the golden cord close by, deep, home and kind. Join hands and brothers of the faith, whatever your race may be. Who serves Thy Father as a son is surely kin to Thee. In Christ now meet the east and west. In Him meet south and north.

O Christ, these souls are one in Him throughout the whole wide earth. 892. We're saying a song of love to Christ, putting Him first. And we're just saying a song of love for each other. And these two are the greatest laws that everything is built upon. And out of that, we can move ahead in our lives, firm in the Spirit and serving the Lord, doing what He asks of us. 892. Firm in the Spirit and serving the Lord. Filled with the strength of His merciful work. Hearts full of zear to accomplish His will.

Souls that are burning, their task to fulfill. Firm in the hours of light from above. Eager to drink from His fountain of love. Firm in the Spirit and serving the Lord. Feeling the strength of His mercies. The form of re-exhalting the wealth of His grace. Basking with joy in the light of His face. Eager to serve where His death may direct. And just to find what our work may affair. Firm in the Spirit and serving the Lord. Not for world's gain or our own reward. Only to minister humble and meek.

Only in hope exists glory to seek. Living to labor that others may lay. Ready to love and to serve and to care. As the snow falls from heaven, as it comes in swirling showers from the sky, so is my word. As the rains bring the water to the earth that is thirsty and dry, so is my word. And the word of my mouth, it shall not return empty. It will bless the earth wherever it is heard. This is my word. As the rains bring renewal and the tender buds begin to come alive, so is my word.

Giving seed to the sower and the bread to the hungry till they thrive. So is my word. So is my word. And the word of my mouth, it shall not return empty. It will bless the earth wherever it is heard. This is my word. This is my word. O Lord, when I am weary. When I feel the days I'm living are in vain. My God, help me be faithful to the word You have given to proclaim. Proclaim the word. Proclaim the word. Proclaim the word. You will go out in joy and be led forth in peace.

And the hills will break before You into sound. So be faithful, brave, and true. For I will go before You. And when Your earthly journey here is done, I'll say, "Well done." I'll say, "Well done." I'll say, "Well done." Well done. Christ is the world's light. Christ and another. Born in our darkness, He became our brother. If we have seen Him, we have seen the Father. Glory to God on high. Christ is the world's peace. Christ and another. No one can serve Him and despise another.

Who else unites us, one in God, the Father? Glory to God on high. Christ is the world's light. Christ and another. Sold once for silver, murdered here our brother. He who redeems us reigns with God the Father. Glory to God on high. Give God the glory. God and another. Give God the glory. Spirit, Son, and Father. Give God the glory. God with us, our brother. Glory to God on high. Merry a shining light to the nations. A shining light to the peoples of the earth. Till the whole world sees the glory of Your name.

May Your pure light shine through us. Merry bring a word of hope to the nations. A word of life to the peoples of the earth. Till the whole world knows their salvation through Your name. May Your mercy flow through us. Merry sing a song of joy to the nations. A song of praise to the peoples of the earth. Till the whole world rings with the praises of Your name. May Your song be sung through us. May Your kingdom come to the nations. Your will be done in the peoples of the earth.

Till the whole world knows that Jesus Christ is Lord. May Your kingdom come on earth. May Your kingdom come on earth. I am so blessed to be able to sing the praises of Him who has called us out of darkness into His marvelous light. To share with this fine young choir is a great blessing. Being the older of the group, it's just a real joy to share in song with this fine group. God be praised. Who will go and tell the world that Jesus is the way? Who will brave the dark of night to bring the light of day?

All around are captive hearts that yearn to be free. God is gone. God goes, His children. Who will go for Me? I will go and tell the world that Jesus is the way. I will brave the dark of night to bring the light of day. There are those who do not know God's holy word is true. I can hear You calling, Lord, and I will go for You. Who will share God's love at home or in a foreign land? Who will share His hope with those who need a helping hand?

Who will share the joy found in His love with those who need to know Jesus died for the world? My children, who will go? I will share God's love at home or in a foreign land. I will share His hope with those who need a helping hand. Jesus lives, proclaim the new, so all the world may know. I can hear You calling. Lord, I can hear You calling, and I will let Me go. If by still small voice God calls to past that I do not know, I'll answer, dear Lord, with my hand in Yours. I'll go where You want me to go.

Lord, I can hear You calling, and I will go for You. By the Lord of sea and sky, out of one, my people come. Oh, who dwell in deepness in, my hand will say. I will make the stars of night. I will make their darkness white. Who will bear my light to them? Whom shall I serve? Here I am, here I am, Lord. Is it I? Is it I? I have heard You calling in the night, in the night. I will go, I will go. Will You heard if You lead? I will hold Your people in my heart.

By the Lord of snow and rain, I have borne my people's pain. I have wept for love of them. They turn away. I will break their praises, hearts of stone. Give them hearts for love alone. I will speak my word to them. Who shall I serve? Here I am, here I am, Lord. Is it I? I have heard You calling in the night, in the night. I will go, I will go. Will You heard if You lead? I will hold Your people in my heart. By the Lord of wind and flame, I will tend the poor and lay. I will set a feast for them.

My hand will say, my hand will say. Finest bread I will provide. Till their hearts be satisfied, I will give my life to them. Whom shall I serve? Here I am, here I am, Lord. Is it I? I have heard You calling in the night, in the night. I will go, I will go. Lord, if You lead, I will hold Your people in my heart, in my heart. I will hold Your people in my heart. Here I am, Lord. Here I am, here I am. Well, we hope you've been blessed and inspired this evening by the message of the songs.

We've enjoyed sharing them with you, and we've been challenged ourselves to be a light for the world around us. The last two songs that we end with are inspired from the words of Jesus Himself, "You are the light of the world, and so send I you." Blessed are the poor in spirit united to God's holy will. There's a kingdom, there's the riches. Neither poverty will fit. You are the light of the world, a city set on a hill cannot be hidden.

So let Your light shine before others, that they may glorify God who is in heaven. Blessed are the hungry, thirsty, longing for God's righteous grace. To transformers' darkest gardens, satisfaction is their blessed. You are the light of the world, a city set on a hill cannot be hidden. So let Your light shine before others, that they may glorify God who is in heaven. Blessed are the persecutors serving those who do them wrong. Serving Christ by suffering gladly, great reward to them belongs.

You are the light of the world, a city set on a hill cannot be hidden. So let Your light shine before others, that they may glorify God who is in heaven. If you turn in your hymn book to number 906, we ask you to join on the last verse of this song, "So Send I You." And we will be singing the coda at the end as well. And after this song, I'll turn the time over to Harvey. I guess I should mention we are doing some added parts. So we have some high tenor and some men taking the lead.

So feel free to fill in those parts as well. So send I you, thy grace may strong to triumph. O host of hell, O darkness. Death and sin, my name to bear, and in that name to conquer. So send I you, my victory to win. So send I you, to take two souls in bondage. The word of truth that sets the captive free. To break the bonds of sin to loose as fast as. So send I you, to bring the lost to me. So send I you, my strength to know in weakness. My joy in grief, my perfect peace in pain.

To prove my calm, my grace, my promised presence. So send I you, eternal fruit to gain. So send I you, to lay my cross with patience. And then one day, with joy to lay it down. To hear my voice, "Well done, my faithful servant. Come share my throne, my kingdom and my crown." As the Father has sent me. So send I you. Thank you all. Well, job well done. Does anyone have an inspiration to share, an encouragement from tonight?

Well, this song's meaning a whole lot more to me than I can see from your confidence and from the way you deport yourselves, that you really mean what you sing. I was really blessed by your message. Thank you for sharing. Appreciate it. What a soul for zeal and inspiration. As you were singing these songs, take that same energy into the kingdom of God. Use it for the king. We have a tremendous charge to keep. And the most blessed word you'll ever hear at the end of your life, "Well done.

Welcome into the kingdom of God." Make sure you make it at all costs. I really appreciated the songs. Thank you very much. Thanks for all your hard work. The one song that stood out to me was, "A Servant in Your Heavenly House." I thought that the lowliest place in the kingdom of God is still the best place to be. The one song they sang is one of my favorites, "Christ Be Our Light." I enjoy the verses, too, but I just like the chorus and the way it builds.

These things that we long for are found in the light of Christ. And I think it's an amazing mission, an amazing I guess I'll call it an ordination that God gives us when He says, "You are the light of the world." Christ wants us to be that light to the people around us. When they look at us, they can see what He represented. And it gives them direction. It gives them clarity. So I was inspired with that again. I don't know why I got this picture. I guess because I view us humans sometimes so little.

But in a sense, maybe we're like glow worms. I don't know if you see them. When it's really dark out at night, you can walk through the woods and you'll see these little glow worms. And they're just glowing because of what's inside of them. They're not just reflecting something. And I like to think of us that way. We glow because of what's inside of us. The mirror analogy, I think, is a good one. But I like to think that the light is in us because Christ is in us. And that was a challenge to me tonight. All right.

Well, we'll stand and have a closing prayer and then maybe another verse of a song. So let's stand. God, I thank You so much for the opportunity to be here together tonight and to hear Your message expressed in song. Thank You for the work and the effort that went into learning the songs. But I also thank You more for the spirit that was expressed as they shared them with us. And Lord, help us to be inspired to take that spirit with us and share it with others throughout the week.

Bless these young people in their lives as they commit themselves to You and allow You to fill them with Your light. In Jesus' name, Amen. Let's sing, "Praise God, from whom all blessings flow." If you need it, which you probably don't, it's 1006. Praise God, from whom all blessings flow. Praise Him, all creatures here below. Praise Him, all creatures here below.

Praise Him, all creatures here below, praise Him, all creatures here below, praise Him, all creatures here below, praise Him, all creatures here below, praise, praise, praise, praise Him above and behold. Praise Him above, praise Him above, praise Him above He and behold. Praise Father, praise Father, Son and Holy Ghost. Praise Father, Son and Holy Ghost. Praise Father, Son and Holy Ghost. Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah. Amen, amen, hallelujah. Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah.

Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah. Amen, amen, hallelujah. Amen, hallelujah. Amen. Just one announcement. There are snacks in the basement for the chorus and any youth that are here. You're welcome to sharing them.
