Joyful, joyful, we adore thee God of glory, Lord of love. Hearts unfold like flowers before thee, hail thee as the sun above. Melt the clouds of sin and sadness, drive the dark of doubt away. Giver of immortal gladness, fill us with the light of day. All thy works with joy surround the earth, and heaven reflect thy rays. Stars and angels sing around thee, center of unbroken praise. Field and forest, vale and mountain, blossoming meadow, flashing sea. Chanting bird and flowing fountain, call us to rejoice in thee.
Thou art giving and forgiving, ever blessing, ever blessed. Wellspring of the joy of living, ocean depths of happy rest. Thou the Father, Christ our brother, all who live in love are thine. Teach us how to love each other, lift us to the joy divine. Join us for the last verse. Mortals join the mighty chorus, which the morning stars began. Father, love is reigning o'er us; Brother, love binds man to man. Ever singing, march we onward, victors in the midst of strife.
Joyful music lifts us sunward, in the triumph song of life. Amen. That's beautiful. We're shalom, and we're excited to be here tonight and share with you. In song, it's a privilege to sing about our great God and the salvation that he's provided to us through Jesus. So I trust that as we share these songs, you can connect with something that is a blessing, a challenge, a convicting thought, whatever it may be that the Lord has for you tonight in this service.
So I'm Gary Hurst, and Martha is my mother, so she's been out here now a couple of years. So it's really special to be here at her and Elen's church. And I sing the second tenor, and Kyle Whitmer here is on my left, sings the baritone. And Anthony Bauman is our bass, and Bradley Burgie sings first tenor. So I trust you can worship with us as we sing. We shall assemble on the mountain, we shall assemble at the throne. With humble hearts into his presence, we bring an offering of song.
Glory and honor and omen—Glory and honor and omen—unto the Lamb, unto the King. Unto the Lamb, unto the King. O hallelujah, hallelujah. O hallelujah. We sing the song of the redeemed. There is a redeemer, Jesus God's own Son. Precious Lamb of God, Messiah, holy one. Thank you, O my Father, for giving us your Son and leaving your Spirit till the work on earth is done. Jesus, my redeemer, name above all names. Precious Lamb of God, Messiah, hope for sinners slain.
Thank you, O my Father, for giving us your Son and leaving your Spirit till the work on earth is done. When I stand in glory, I will see his face. There I'll serve my King forever, in that holy place. Thank you, O my Father, for giving us your Son and leaving your Spirit till the work on earth is done. Come, ye sinners, poor and needy, bruised and broken by the fall. Jesus ready stands to save you, full of pardoning love for all. He is able, he is able, he is willing doubt no more.
He is able, he is able, he is willing doubt no more. Let not conscience make you linger, nor a fitness fondly dream. All that he requires of sinners is surrenderful to him. He will save you, he will save you, 'tis the gospel's constant theme. He will save you, he will save you, 'tis the gospel's constant theme. Agonizing in the garden, lo, your Savior prostrate lies. On the bloody tree behold him, hear him cry before he dies. It is finished, it is finished, sinners will not disapphise.
It is finished, it is finished, sinners will not disapphise. Lo, the incarnate God ascended, please the merit of his blood. Venture on him, venture holy, let no other trust intrude. None but Jesus, none but Jesus, can do helpless sinners good. None but Jesus, none but Jesus, can do helpless sinners good. This is how we know true love. Jesus gave his life for others. This is how we show true love. We should give our life for our brothers. He gave his life for you. He gave his life for me. He gave his life for you.
He gave his life for me. Love is demonstrated, feigned and underrated. Love is demonstrated again. Love from everlasting love, all else surpassing. Love to everlasting again. God's own love gave his Son. Jesus' love gave his life. This is how we know true love. Jesus gave his life for others. This is how we show true love. We should give our life for our brothers. He gave his life for you. He gave his life for me. He gave his life for you. He gave his life for me.
Love with great compassion, when love was not in fashion. Love showed great compassion again. Love in all creation, love for every nation. Love for every man, woman, child. God's own love gave his Son. Jesus' love gave his life. This is how we know true love. Jesus gave his life for others. This is how we show true love. We should give our life for our brothers. He gave his life for you. He gave his life for me. He gave his life for you. He gave his life for me. This is how we know true love.
I am the bread of life. All who eat this bread will never die. I am God's love revealed. I am broken, that you might be healed. I am the bread of life. All who eat this bread will never die. I am God's love revealed. I am broken, that you might be healed. No one who comes to me will hunger again. No one who believes will ever thirst. All that the Father draws will come to me, and I will give them rest. I am the bread of life. All who eat this bread will never die. I am God's love revealed.
I am broken, that you might be healed. That you might be healed. Blessed assurance, Jesus is mine. Oh, what a foretaste of glory divine. Heir of salvation, purchase of God. Born of his Spirit, washed in his blood. This is my story, this is my song. Praising my Savior all the day long. This is my story, this is my song. Praising my Savior all the day long. Perfect submission, perfect delight. Visions of rapture now burst on my sight. Angels descending, bring from above. Echoes of mercy, whispers of love.
This is my story, this is my song. Praising my Savior all the day long. This is my story, this is my song. Praising my Savior all the day long. Help us on verse three. Perfect submission, all is at rest. I and my Savior am happy and blessed. Watching and waiting, looking above. Filled with his goodness, lost in his love. This is my story, this is my song. Praising my Savior all the day long. This is my story, this is my song. Praising my Savior all the day long. All my tomorrows, all my past. Jesus is Lord of all.
I've quit my struggles, contentment at last. Jesus is Lord of all. King of kings, Lord of lords. Jesus is Lord of all. All my possessions and all my life. Jesus is Lord of all. All of my conflicts, all my thoughts. Jesus is Lord of all. His love wins the battles I could not have fought. Jesus is Lord of all. King of kings, Lord of lords. Jesus is Lord of all. All my possessions and all my life. Jesus is Lord of all. All of my longings, all my dreams. Jesus is Lord of all. All of my failures, his power redeems.
Jesus is Lord of all. King of kings, Lord of lords. Jesus is Lord of all. All my possessions and all my life. Jesus is Lord of all. You are my hiding place. You always fill my heart with songs of deliverance. Whenever I am afraid, I will trust in you. I will trust in you. Let the weak say, "I am strong." In the strength of the Lord. You are my hiding place. You always fill my heart with songs of deliverance. Whenever I am afraid, I will trust in you. You are the sunshine and I am a candle.
You are the mountain and I am a hill. You are the ocean and I am a river. Winding and swirling and never quite still. Winding and swirling and never quite still. You are the canyon and I am a crevice. You are the heavens and I am a star. You are the thunder and I am a whisper. Quietly longing to be where you are. Quietly longing to be where you are. You are a mighty God. Your deeds are so awesome. Mighty God, I stand amazed. You are a mighty God. I worship you only. You are so mighty and worthy of praise.
You are so mighty and worthy of praise. You are so mighty and worthy of praise. Your are so mighty and worthy of praise. You are mighty God. You are mighty God. You are so mighty and I am unworthy. But I will worship you. You are the eagle and I am a sparrow. You are the lion and I am a lamb. You are the fire and I am an ember. Fanned into flame by the glorious I am. Fanned into flame by the glorious I am.
It's me. It's me. It's me, O Lord. Standing in the need of prayer, I hope. It's me. It's me. It's me, O Lord. Standing in the need of prayer. Not my brother, not my sister, but it's me, O Lord. Standing in the need of prayer. Not my father nor my mother, but it's me, O Lord. Standing in the need of prayer. It's me. It's me.
It's me, O Lord. Standing in the need of prayer, I hope. It's me. It's me. It's me, O Lord. Standing in the need of prayer. Not the deacon nor the elder, but it's me, O Lord. Standing in the need of prayer. Not the teacher nor the preacher, but it's me, O Lord. Standing in the need of prayer. It's me. It's me. It's me, O Lord. Standing in the need of prayer, I know. It's me. It's me. It's me, O Lord. Standing in the need of prayer. It's me. It's me. It's me, O Lord. Standing in the need of prayer. It. It's me.
It's me. It's me, O Lord. Standing in the need of prayer. Standing in the need of prayer. Standing in the need of prayer. What a friend we have in Jesus. All our sins and griefs to bear. What a privilege to carry. Everything to God in prayer. Oh, what peace we often forfeit. Oh, what needless pain we bear. All because we do not carry. Everything to God in prayer. Have we trials and temptations? Is there trouble anywhere? We should never be discouraged. Take it to the Lord in prayer.
Can we find a friend so faithful? Who will all our sorrows share? Jesus knows our every weakness. Take it to the Lord in prayer. Are we weak and heavy laden? Cumbered with a load of care. Precious Savior, still our refuge. Take it to the Lord in prayer. Do thy friends despise for sake thee. Take it to the Lord in prayer. In his arms he'll take and shield thee. Thou wilt find a solace there. I am a poor, wayfaring stranger. While traveling through. This world of war. Yet there's no sickness, toil, nor danger.
In that bright world to which I go. I'm going there to see my father. I'm going there. No more to roam. I'm only going over Jordan. I'm only going over home. I know dark clouds may gather 'round me. I know my way is rough and steep. But golden fields lie out before me. Where God's redeemed shall ever sleep. I'm going there to see my mother. She said she'd meet me when I come. I'm only going over Jordan. I'm only going over home. I'll soon be free from every trial. My body sleep in the churchyard.
I'll drop the cross of self-denial. And enter on my great reward. I'm going, I'm going there to see my Savior. To sing his praise forevermore. I'm only going over Jordan. I'm only going over home. One thing I ask. One thing I seek. That I may dwell in your house. O Lord. All of my days. All of my life. That I may see you, Lord. Hear me, O Lord. Hear me when I cry. Lord, do not hide your face from me. You have been my strength. You have been my shield. And you will lift me up. One thing, one thing I ask.
One thing I desire. Is to see you. Is to see you. See you. One thing I ask. One thing I seek. That I may dwell in your house. O Lord. All of my days. All of my life. That I may see you, Lord. One thing, one thing I ask. One thing I desire. One thing, one thing I ask. One thing I desire. Is to see you. Is to see you. Is to see you. Abide with me fast, 'falls the even tide. The darkness deepens, Lord, with me abide. When other helpers fail and comforts flee. Help of the helpless, O, abide with me.
Swift to its close ebbs out life's little day. Earth's joys grow dim, its glories pass away. Change and decay in all of round I see. O thou who changest not, abide with me. I need thy presence every passing hour. What but thy grace can for the tempter's power? Who like thyself, thy guide and stay can be? Through cloud and sunshine, O, abide with me. I fear no foe with thee at hand to bless. Ills have no weight and tears no bitterness. Where is destiny? Where grave thy victory? I triumph still if thou abide with me.
Hold thou thy cross before my closing eyes. Shine through the gloom and point me to the skies. As morning breaks and earth's plain shadows flee. In life, in death, O Lord, abide with me. Hallelujah, hallelujah, I am on my way. Bound for Jubilee. Hallelujah, hallelujah, I am on my way. Bound for Jubilee. O my brother, won't you come with me? O my sister, you must come today. O my brother, won't you come with me? Oh, the devil might come and take you away, for you get to Jubilee.
Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, bound for Jubilee. Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, bound for Jubilee. My Lord's calling, I must go with him. Can't you hear him calling you today? My Lord's calling, I must go with him. Oh, the devil might come and take me away, for I get to Jubilee. Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, bound for Jubilee. Hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, hallelujah, bound for Jubilee. Shalom, my friend, shalom, my friend, shalom. Shalom, shalom.
To Israel, to Israel, shalom. Shalom, shalom. May peace be with you. May peace be with you. Shalom. May peace be with you. Shalom. May peace be with you. May peace be with you. May peace be with you. Shalom. Shalom. May blessings attend you, angels defend. Shalom. Shalom, shalom. God's mercies befriend you onto the end. Shalom. Shalom. Shalom. Shalom. Till we meet again, till we meet again.
