Well, we welcome the Cornerstone Choir here this evening. Their home base is in Amberston Valley, and we trust that the songs they sing will remind us of the worthiness of God. After prayer, I will turn the time back over to them. At intermission, you see on your seats there's an intermission. There will be a meditation, and then we'll have two songs that, if we remember, we can do standing. During the first song, there will be an offering lifted. We try with all our strength to do right. We think we're finally getting somewhere, and then it happens. We fall short of the goal once again. We fall short of what God wants of us. We realize that we can't do this on our own. The only way to succeed is to ask for grace and mercy over and over and know that we are children of the highest King who is ready to help us when we humbly ask.

I keep finding voices in my mind that say I'm not enough. Every single line that tells me I will never measure up. Am I more than just the sum of every high and every low? Remind me once again just who I am because I need to know.

The offering tonight is for the Harkin House Ministries. I suppose most of y'all know about that, but Halfway House in Chambersburg that Mr. Patrick runs, and he's much more adequate to speak on that. But for lack of time, I guess we shall not. But anyway, that's what that's for, and that's going to be after the devotions here. And I'll turn it over to the song leader, and that's when that'll happen. But I want to look at tonight. I wanted to look at Philippians 2 for a quick little meditation here, and I wanted to start at verse 7. "But he made himself of no reputation and took upon him the form of a servant, was made in the likeness of men.

And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, became obedient unto death, and even the death of the cross. Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him and gave him a name which is above every name, that the name of Jesus, every knee shall bow of things in heaven, the things on earth, and things under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father."

And that tonight, the name of Jesus is the name that we're here to praise with our music here tonight. And I love the selection that Mr. Linwood and, I guess, whoever else put together to portray how unworthy we are and what we give to Jesus and what he's worthy of.

It's the Jesus that all of our worship goes to in our lives and all of our actions. And then I feel tonight we're here, we're singing, and I feel like that's another great way that we can be able to portray our love and what Christ's name is to us. And there's been so many different songwriters who have been able to do that, and their words flow incredibly, and words can't describe, and sometimes music can do what just regular words can't. And there's one of the songs that we're singing tonight is "Worthy." And whenever we sing that, I hope you all just take time to listen to that, what all he's done for us and how minute we are compared to the grace and the mercy that God has poured down upon us.

But the thought tonight is that name of Jesus, and we hear it all through scripture and we sing about it. But right now, we're coming to the Christmas time. And in Isaiah, he prophesied about all these names that Christ is, that when he was come, Isaiah 9:6, "For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given, and the government shall be upon his shoulders, and his name shall be Wonderful Counselor, Almighty God, and the Everlasting Father, and the Prince of Peace." And that's what our and just a little bit extra here, that's what our world needs is that peace. And a lot of people don't have that, the peace and the Father who loves them and the mighty God and just all these things that Christ is to us.

And you can take that personally, and it's not just some God that we know nothing about. It's somebody who's personal, and he has all these names that he can be to you in whatever time of trouble or whatever you're going through at that time.

His human form where he came down to earth in a manger, and he humbled himself to that. And like it says in Philippians, he came down, and then through that, he was appointed of God to do that and then prophesied it by Isaiah. And then from that, he was nailed to the cross and then canceled our debt through a blood atonement for you and I's sin. And he's not only just Jesus and all this wonderful and everything else, he's not only that, he is a personal savior to you and me as well.

Like the song that says, "Once I was straying in sin's dark valley, no hope within could I see. They searched through heaven and they found a savior to save a poor lost soul like me. Oh, what a savior. Oh, hallelujah."

His heart was broken on Calvary. His hands were nail-scarred. His side was riven. And he gave his life blood for you and me, for even me. And I think about how many times I've failed as a human, and I'm sure many of us probably have similar testimonies. But if it wasn't for the grace of God, I didn't know where I'd be. And I can only just point to my savior and through my life and through my actions, through our words and everything else that we have. I think about that Jesus who's personal as my savior and my redeemer. And the only thing I can think about is that amazing grace that we sang about in the last song and that not only that, but he's worthy of all of our praise.

And that's the only word that, to me personally, that can describe how amazing Jesus is. He is worthy. I just want to leave that with y'all tonight. So thank you for your attention. I'll turn it over to the song leader.

Hopefully, the songs that we've sung so far have spoken to you like they've spoken to us. We've run over them a number of times through practice and now through the programs. But I feel like every program, there's still fresh inspiration in the words of the songs that we're singing. So hopefully, our worship can draw you closer with us tonight. Are you looking forward to that day? Are you looking forward to meeting the loved ones going on before? Looking forward to meeting the one we're singing about this evening that is worthy? The next song we're going to sing is Sinless Summerland.

I asked the question this evening, "What do we have to do to get to that Sinless Summerland?" You know, there's nothing I can do of myself that entitles me to heaven. There's only one way that we can get in, and that is that we be faithful, that we be an overcomer, and that we accept the atoning blood of Jesus. It's Jesus that makes us worthy to enter heaven.

And so we praise Him for that. But let's think a little bit about being an overcomer tonight. At church this morning, the brother shared thoughts about the verse from Psalm that says, "Though a righteous man fall seven times, yet will the Lord lift him up." You know, life's a little bit like that. Maybe yours is all good, and you only ever fell one time, and it's been a great journey from there on. But that's not my life. I've been down and up and made mistakes, got back up again, made the same mistake again, felt stupid for doing it.

But it's all about being an overcomer. We go to the book of Revelations 2 and 3, and it talks about the seven churches. And we often meditate on those thoughts, and we pick all the things out that the churches did wrong. But there are some very precious words in that text. It says, after each church, it says, "To him that overcometh" and then there's a promise.

Let's look at a couple of those promises tonight. One of the promises there, it says, "To him that overcometh, Jesus is going to give to him a stone. And on that stone, there's a name that's going to be written that's only you and him will know."

Now think about that for a moment. Talk about a relationship with Jesus, a personal connection. He knows our struggles. He knows what we've went through. And you know, maybe in your childhood, you were given a nickname because of something that stood out in your life. Well, I get that picture a little bit as Jesus hands us that stone. He remembers that precious moment when you gave your heart to Him.

It goes on to talk about other times that we're an overcomer, and it says He's going to give us a robe that is white. And I think of the times that I've sinned, and I bear the scars of that. But when we get the glory, Jesus brings this robe, and He wraps it around. It covers all of that dross and dirt up, the scars.

But it doesn't stop there. He says, after He puts on the robe of white, He's going to pray to us before all the holy angels and God Himself. And I just picture that moment where He says, "God, here's another overcomer that made it by the blood of the Lamb."

But it doesn't stop there. You little boys sitting on a bench tonight, whenever Daddy gets a new truck or a new tractor, you want to crawl up quick, and you want to sit on the seat, and you want to, you know, you want to partake of that moment. There's a verse in Revelation that says, "To him that overcometh, will I grant to sit with me on his throne."

I don't know about you, but that gives me chills to think of the moment when we meet in glory and our Savior sets us up on His knee and says, "Well done." That's the one that is worthy to receive the praise that we're singing about this evening.

I am longing for the coming of the snow-white angel bed. That shall bear my weary spirit to the Sinless Summerland. As I tread the narrow pathway through this thorny vale, I dream of the joys that ever brighten where the pearly waters gleam.

The next song we're singing is called Is He Worthy. It asks a lot of questions like, "Do you feel the world is broken, and do you feel the shadows?" And I don't know about you, but I do. The world feels very dark and broken, but there is a light, and His name is Jesus.

I'm very thankful for that tonight. I'm thankful for what He did on the cross. And the song then asks, "Is He Worthy?" And because He is worthy, we can be called His children. And so hope you can worship with us during this song and enjoy it as much as we do.

From every people and tribe, every nation and tongue, He has made us a kingdom and priests to God to reign with the Son.
