Erkennet, dass der Herr Gott ist!
Er hat uns gemacht, und nicht wir selbst, zu seinem Volk und zu Schafen seiner Weide.
Gehet zu seinen Toren ein mit Danken, zu seinen Vorhöfen mit Loben;

Story Behind the Song
Mendelssohn set Psalm 100 as the German motet "Jauchzet dem Herrn, alle Welt," using the Luther Bible text. It was composed in 1844 and belongs to his body of Protestant sacred choral works rather than to congregational hymnody. In English-speaking choral use it is often identified simply as "Psalm 100" or sung in translation as a Jubilate Deo text.
