A Joyful Noise
Words by Psalm 100Music by Jacob Narverud
Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all ye lands.
Serve the Lord with gladness:
come before his presence with singing.
Story Behind the Song
A Joyful Noise is a contemporary choral anthem by American composer Jacob Narverud. The title and text are associated with Psalm 100, the biblical call to make a joyful noise to the Lord and come before his presence with singing. It is a concert/choral anthem rather than a standard congregational hymn-tune item.
