Lord, have mercy upon us, and incline our hearts to keep this law.

Praise be to Thee, O Christ.
Story Behind the Song
Three Choral Responses, Op. 8 is a short set of sacred choral pieces by American composer Amy Beach, published early in her career during her Boston years. The work belongs to the late-19th-century church-music tradition of brief choir responses for liturgical use rather than to the congregational hymn-tune repertory. It is commonly cataloged among Beach's sacred choral works and appears in modern public-domain music libraries.
