And whosoever will not do the law of thy God, and the law of the king, let judgment be executed speedily upon him, whether it be unto death, or to banishment, or to confiscation of goods, or to imprisonment.

Is not the life of man upon earth a state of trial? And his existence as that of a hireling by the day?

And my life is lighter than a word, And has perished in vain hope.

For I shall not live forever, that I should patiently endure: Depart from me, for my life is vain.

(For we are of yesterday, and know nothing; For our life upon the earth is a shadow):
