Now the sons of Noah which came out of the ark, were Shem, Ham, Japheth. And Ham was father of Canaan.

And Ham the father of Canaan saw the nakedness of his father, and he went out and told his two brothers without.

And he said, Cursed be the servant Canaan, A slave shall he be to his brethren.

And he said, Blessed be the Lord God of Shem, And Canaan shall be his bondservant.

May God make room for Japheth, And let him dwell in the habitations of Shem, And let Canaan be his servant.

And the sons of Ham, Cush, and Mizraim, Put, and Canaan.

And Canaan begot Sidon his firstborn, and the Hittite,

And Terah took Abram his son, and Lot the son of Haran, the son of his son, and Sarai his daughter-in-law, the wife of Abram his son, and led them forth out of the land of the Chaldees, to go into the land of Canaan, and they came as far as Haran, and he dwelt there.

And Abram took Sarai his wife, and Lot the son of his brother, and all their possessions, as many as they had gotten, and every soul which they had gotten in Haran, and they went forth to go into the land of Canaan.

And Lot dwelt in a city of the neighboring people, and pitched his tent in Sodom.

So Sarai the wife of Abram having taken Hagar the Egyptian her handmaid, after Abram had dwelt ten years in the land of Canaan, gave her to Abram her husband as a wife to him.

And Jacob came to Salem, a city of Shechem, which is in the land of Canaan, when he departed out of Mesopotamia of Syria, and took up a position in front of the city.

And Jacob came to Luz, which is in the land of Canaan, which is Bethel, he and all the people that were with him.

And Jacob came to Isaac his father to Mamre, to a city of the plain; this is Hebron in the land of Canaan, where Abraham and Isaac sojourned.

And Oholibamah bore Jeush, and Jalam, and Korah; these are the sons of Esau, which were born to him in the land of Canaan.

And Esau took his wives, and his sons, and his daughters, and all the persons of his house, and all his possessions, and all his cattle, and all that he had gotten, and all things whatsoever he had acquired in the land of Canaan; and Esau went forth from the land of Canaan, from the face of his brother Jacob.

And Jacob dwelt in the land where his father sojourned, in the land of Canaan.

If we brought back to thee out of the land of Canaan the money which we found in our sacks, how should we steal silver or gold out of the house of thy lord?

And Pharaoh said to Joseph, Say to thy brethren, Do this; fill your wagons, and depart into the land of Canaan.

And they went up out of Egypt, and came into the land of Canaan, to Jacob their father.

And Pharaoh said to Joseph, Let them dwell in the land of Goshen; and if thou knowest that there are among them able men, make them overseers of my cattle. So Jacob and his sons came into Egypt, to Joseph; and Pharaoh, king of Egypt, heard of it.

And there was no corn in all the land, for the famine prevailed greatly; and the land of Egypt, and the land of Canaan, fainted for the famine.

And Joseph gathered all the money that was found in the land of Egypt, and the land of Canaan, in return for the corn which they bought, and he distributed corn to them; and Joseph brought all the money into the house of Pharaoh.

And all the money failed out of the land of Egypt, and out of the land of Canaan; and all the Egyptians came to Joseph, saying, Give us bread, and why do we die in thy presence? for our money is spent.

Ye shall not do according to the devices of Egypt, in which ye dwelt: and according to the devices of the land of Canaan, into which I bring you, ye shall not do; and ye shall not walk in their ordinances.

These did the Lord command to distribute the inheritances to the children of Israel in the land of Canaan.

Speak to the children of Israel, and thou shalt say to them, Ye are to cross over Jordan into the land of Canaan.

Ye shall assign three cities on the other side of Jordan, and ye shall assign three cities in the land of Canaan.

Lo! are not these beyond Jordan, behind, westward in the land of Canaan, which lies westward near Gilgal, by the high oak?

Go up to the Mount Abarim, this mountain Nebo which is in the land of Moab over against Jericho, and behold the land of Canaan, which I give to the sons of Israel:

And the children of Israel heard say, Behold, the sons of Reuben, and the sons of Gad, and the half tribe of Manasseh have built an altar at the borders of the land of Canaan at Gilead of Jordan, on the opposite side to the children of Israel.

So Phinehas the priest and the princes departed from the children of Reuben, and from the children of Gad, and from the half tribe of Manasseh out of Gilead into the land of Canaan to the children of Israel; and reported the words to them.

And these are the nations which the Lord left to prove Israel with them, all that had not known the wars of Canaan.

And the Lord sold the children of Israel into the hand of Jabin king of Canaan, who ruled in Hazor; and the chief of his host was Sisera, and he dwelt in Harosheth of the Gentiles.

So God routed Jabin king of Canaan in that day before the children of Israel.

And the hand of the children of Israel prevailed more and more against Jabin king of Canaan, until they utterly destroyed Jabin king of Canaan.

Kings set themselves in array, Then the kings of Canaan fought In Taanach at the water of Megiddo; They took no gift of money.

And they found among the inhabitants of Jabesh-gilead four hundred young virgins, who had not known man by lying with him; and they brought them to Shiloh in the land of Canaan.

And the sons of Ham, Cush, and Mizraim, Put and Canaan.

he cropped off the ends of the tender twigs, and brought them into the land of Canaan; he laid them up in a walled city.

Then their God commanded them to depart from the place where they sojourned, and to go into the land of Canaan: where they dwelt, and were increased with gold and silver, and with very much cattle.

But when a famine covered all the land of Canaan, they went down into Egypt, and sojourned there, while they were nourished, and became there a great multitude, so that one could not number their nation.

After this came word to Jonathan and Simon his brother, that the children of Jambri made a great marriage, and were bringing the bride from Nadabath with a great train, as being the daughter of one of the great princes of Canaan.

It hath not been heard of in Canaan, neither hath it been seen in Teman.
