And he did that which was right in the sight of the Lord, according to all things that his father Uzziah did.

and with them their brethren of the second rank, Zechariah, and Jaaziel, and Shemiramoth, and Jehiel, and Elioel, and Eliab, and Benaiah, and Maaseiah, and Mattithiah, and Eliphelehu, and Mikneiah, and Obed-edom, and Jeiel, and Azaziah, the porters.

And Mattithiah, and Eliphelehu, and Mikneiah, and Obed-edom, and Jeiel, and Azaziah, with harps of Sheminith, to make a loud noise.

Then all the people of the land took Uzziah, and he was sixteen years old, and they made him king in the room of his father Amaziah.

Uzziah began to reign at the age of sixteen years, and he reigned fifty-two years in Jerusalem: and his mother’s name was Jecoliah of Jerusalem.

And the Ammonites gave gifts to Uzziah; and his fame spread as far as the entering in of Egypt, for he strengthened himself exceedingly.

And Uzziah built towers in Jerusalem, both at the gate of the corner and at the valley gate, and at the corners, and he fortified them.

And Uzziah had a host of warriors, and that went out orderly to war, and returned orderly in number; and their number was made by the hand of Jeiel the scribe, and Maaseiah the judge, by the hand of Ananias the king’s deputy.

And Uzziah prepared for them, even for all the host, shields, and spears, and helmets, and breastplates, and bows, and slings for stones.

And they withstood Uzziah the king, and said to him, It is not for thee, Uzziah, to burn incense to the Lord, but only for the priests the sons of Aaron, who are consecrated to sacrifice: go forth of the sanctuary, for thou hast departed from the Lord; and this shall not be for glory to thee from the Lord God.

And Uzziah was angry, and in his hand was the censer to burn incense in the temple: and when he was angry with the priests, then the leprosy rose up in his forehead before the priests in the house of the Lord, over the altar of incense.

And Uzziah the king was a leper to the day of his death, and he dwelt as a leper in a separate house; for he was cut off from the house of the Lord: and Jotham his son was set over his kingdom, judging the people of the land.

And the rest of the acts of Uzziah, the first and the last, are written by Isaiah the prophet.

And Uzziah slept with his fathers, and they buried him with his fathers in the field of the burial place of the kings, for they said, He is a leper; and Jotham his son reigned in his stead.

And Uzziah took him out of the assembly unto his house, and made a feast to the elders; and they called on the God of Israel all that night for help.

Then all the people assembled to Uzziah, and to the chief of the city, both young men, and women, and children, and cried with a loud voice, and said before all the elders,

Then said Uzziah to them, Brethren, be of good courage, let us yet endure five days, in the which space the Lord our God may turn his mercy toward us; for he will not forsake us utterly.

Now when she heard the evil words of the people against the governor, that they fainted for lack of water; for Judith had heard all the words that Uzziah had spoken unto them, and that he had sworn to deliver the city unto the Assyrians after five days;

Then said Uzziah to her, All that thou hast spoken hast thou spoken with a good heart, and there is none that may gainsay thy words.

Then said Uzziah and the princes unto her, Go in peace, and the Lord God be before thee, to take vengeance on our enemies.

Thus they went forth to the gate of the city of Bethulia, and found standing there Uzziah, and the ancients of the city, Chabris and Charmis.

Then said Uzziah unto her, O daughter, blessed art thou of the most high God above all the women upon the earth; and blessed be the Lord God, which hath created the heavens and the earth, which hath directed thee to the cutting off of the head of the chief of our enemies.

Then they called Achior out of the house of Uzziah; and when he was come, and saw the head of Holofernes in a man’s hand in the assembly of the people, he fell down on his face, and his spirit failed.

Then sent Uzziah to Betomasthaim, and to Choba, and Kola, and to all the coasts of Israel, such as should tell the things that were done, and that all should rush forth upon their enemies to destroy them.
