And there was a strife between the herdsmen of Abram’s cattle, and the herdsmen of Lot’s cattle, and the Canaanites and the Perizzites then inhabited the land.

And Abram said to Lot, Let there not be a strife between me and thee, and between my herdsmen and thy herdsmen, for we are brethren.

So is it with a man that fasteth for his sins, And goeth again, and doeth the same: Who will hear his prayer? Or what doth his humbling profit him?
