But their bow and arrows were mightily consumed, And the sinews of their arms were slackened By the hand of the mighty one of Jacob; Thence is he that strengthened Israel From the God of thy father;

Lest thou shouldest say in thy heart, My strength, and the power of my hand have wrought for me this great wealth.

And the children of Israel cried to the Lord, because he had nine hundred chariots of iron; and he mightily oppressed Israel twenty years.

For I was ashamed to require of the king a band of soldiers and horsemen to help us against the enemy in the way: because we had spoken unto the king, saying, The hand of our God is upon all them for good that seek him; but his power and his wrath is against all them that forsake him.

And our adversaries said, They shall not know, neither see, till we come in the midst among them, and slay them, and cause the work to cease.

With him are strength and power: He has knowledge and understanding.

One shall die in his perfect strength, And wholly at ease and prosperous;

I will keep my strength, looking to thee; For thou, O God, art my helper.

and mercy is thine, O Lord; For thou wilt recompense every one according to his works.

There he broke the power of the bows, The shield, and the sword, and the battle. Pause.

Look thou upon me, and have mercy upon me: Give thy strength to thy servant, And save the son of thy handmaid.

Thou rulest the power of the sea; And thou calmest the tumult of its waves.

Who knows the power of thy wrath?

and I will put on him thy robe, and I will grant him thy crown with power, and I will give thy stewardship into his hands: and he shall be as a father to them that dwell in Jerusalem, and to them that dwell in Judah.

Lift up your eyes on high, and see, who has displayed all these things? even he that brings forth his host by number: he shall call them all by name by means of his great glory, and by the power of his might: nothing has escaped thee.

For I am thy God, who holdeth thy right hand, who saith to thee,

the king answered and said, Is not this great Babylon, which I have built for a royal residence, by the might of my power, for the honor of my glory?

And I in the first year of Cyrus stood to strengthen and confirm him.

He hath shewed strength with his arm; he hath scattered the proud in the imagination of their hearts.

So mightily grew the word of God and prevailed.

And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,

Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.

Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness;

Who only hath immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto; whom no man hath seen, nor can see: to whom be honour and power everlasting. Amen.

Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;

If any man speak, let him speak as the oracles of God; if any man minister, let him do it as of the ability which God giveth: that God in all things may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom be praise and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, be unto him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever.

And it is but fair that we should allow, that the power belongs to reasoning, since it masters external miseries.

For thou canst show thy great strength at all times when thou wilt; And who may withstand the power of thine arm?

For if we sin, we are thine, knowing thy power: But we will not sin, knowing that we are counted thine.

For to know thee is perfect righteousness: Yea, to know thy power is the root of immortality.

Who shall number the strength of his majesty? And who shall also tell out his mercies?

It shall fight for thee against thine enemies Better than a mighty shield and strong spear.

For he called upon the most high Lord; And he gave him strength in his right hand To slay that mighty warrior, And set up the horn of his people.
