And the Lord said to Gideon, The people with thee are many, so that I may not deliver Midian into their hand, lest at any time Israel boast against me, saying, My hand has saved me.

Boast not, and utter not high things; Let not high-sounding words come out of your mouth, For the Lord is a God of knowledge, And God prepares his own designs.

The Lord will weaken his adversary; The Lord is holy. Let not the wise man boast in his wisdom, Nor let the mighty man boast in his strength, And let not the rich man boast in his wealth; But let him that boasts boast in this, To understand and know the Lord, And to execute judgment and justice in the midst of the earth. The Lord has gone up to the heavens, and has thundered: He will judge the extremities of the earth, And he gives strength to our kings, And will exalt the horn of his Christ. And she left him there before the Lord,

And the king of Israel answered and said, Let it be sufficient; let not the humpbacked boast as he that is upright.

And say ye, Save us, O God of our salvation, And gather us, and rescue us from among the heathen, That we may praise thy holy name, And glory in thy praises.

But let all that trust on thee be glad in thee: They shall exult forever, and thou shalt dwell among them; And all that love thy name shall rejoice in thee.

Be glad in the Lord, and exult, ye righteous: And glory, all ye that are upright in heart.

They that trust in their strength, And boast themselves in the multitude of their wealth—

How long shall sinners, O Lord, How long shall sinners boast?

The saints shall rejoice in glory; And shall exult on their beds.

Thus saith the Lord, Let not the wise man boast in his wisdom, and let not the strong man boast in his strength, and let not the rich man boast in his wealth;

but let him that boasts boast in this, the understanding and knowing that I am the Lord that exercise mercy, and judgment, and righteousness, upon the earth; for in these things is my pleasure, saith the Lord.

Behold, thou art called a Jew, and restest in the law, and makest thy boast of God,

Thou that makest thy boast of the law, through breaking the law dishonourest thou God?

By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience;

And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement.

That no flesh should glory in his presence.

That, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.

Therefore let no man glory in men. For all things are your's;

For who maketh thee to differ from another? and what hast thou that thou didst not receive? now if thou didst receive it, why dost thou glory, as if thou hadst not received it?

For we commend not ourselves again unto you, but give you occasion to glory on our behalf, that ye may have somewhat to answer them which glory in appearance, and not in heart.

For if I have boasted any thing to him of you, I am not ashamed; but as we spake all things to you in truth, even so our boasting, which I made before Titus, is found a truth.

To preach the gospel in the regions beyond you, and not to boast in another man's line of things made ready to our hand.

But he that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord.

But what I do, that I will do, that I may cut off occasion from them which desire occasion; that wherein they glory, they may be found even as we.

I say again, let no man think me a fool; if otherwise, yet as a fool receive me, that I may boast myself a little.

Seeing that many glory after the flesh, I will glory also.

If I must needs glory, I will glory of the things which concern mine infirmities.

It is not expedient for me doubtless to glory. I will come to visions and revelations of the Lord.

Wisdom shall praise herself, And shall glory in the midst of her people.

In the congregation of the most High shall she open her mouth, And triumph before his power.

He that chastiseth his son shall have joy in him, And shall rejoice of him among his acquaintance.

How can he get wisdom that holdeth the plow, And that glorieth in the goad, That driveth oxen, and is occupied in their labors, And whose talk is of bullocks?

He shall show forth that which he hath learned, And shall glory in the law of the covenant of the Lord.

O Elijah, how wast thou honored in thy wondrous deeds! And who may glory like unto thee!

Then he went down, and lifted up his hands over the whole congregation of the children of Israel, To give the blessing of the Lord with his lips, And to rejoice in his name.
