And if it be a vow, or he offer his gift of his own will, on whatsoever day he shall offer his sacrifice, it shall be eaten, and on the morrow.

Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done.

Peter said unto him, Though I should die with thee, yet will I not deny thee. Likewise also said all the disciples.

For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole.

And whithersoever he entered, into villages, or cities, or country, they laid the sick in the streets, and besought him that they might touch if it were but the border of his garment: and as many as touched him were made whole.

They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

And if it bear fruit, well: and if not, then after that thou shalt cut it down.

Jesus answered and said unto them, Though I bear record of myself, yet my record is true: for I know whence I came, and whither I go; but ye cannot tell whence I come, and whither I go.

But if I do, though ye believe not me, believe the works: that ye may know, and believe, that the Father is in me, and I in him.

Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:

Insomuch that they brought forth the sick into the streets, and laid them on beds and couches, that at the least the shadow of Peter passing by might overshadow some of them.

I say again, let no man think me a fool; if otherwise, yet as a fool receive me, that I may boast myself a little.

(For they could not endure that which was commanded, And if so much as a beast touch the mountain, it shall be stoned, or thrust through with a dart:

And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.

A man, therefore, who regulates his course by the law, even if he be a lover of money, straightaway puts force upon his own disposition; lending to the needy without interest, and canceling the debt of the incoming Sabbath.

And should a man be parsimonious, he is ruled by the law acting through reasoning; so that he does not glean his harvest crops, nor vintage: and in reference to other points we may perceive that it is reasoning that conquers his passions.

But he said, Even if you take away the organ of speech, yet God hears the silent.

And he used to put you in mind of the Scripture of Isaiah, which saith, Even if thou pass through the fire, it shall not burn thee.

For though they flourish in branches for a time; Yet standing not fast, they shall be shaken with the wind, And through the force of winds they shall be rooted out.

For though a man be never so perfect among the children of men, Yet if thy wisdom be not with him, he shall be nothing regarded.

Showing that thou canst save from all danger: Yea, though a man went to sea without art.

But they counted our life a pastime, And our time here a market for gain: For, say they, we must be getting every way, though it be by evil means.

And if his understanding fail, have patience with him; And despise him not when thou art in thy full strength.

Keep thee far from the man that hath power to kill: So shalt thou not doubt the fear of death: And if thou come unto him, make no fault, Lest he take away thy life presently: Remember that thou goest in the midst of snares, And that thou walkest upon the battlements of the city.

When a rich man speaketh, every man holdeth his tongue, And, look, what he saith, they extol it to the clouds: But if the poor man speak, they say, What fellow is this? And if he stumble, they will help to overthrow him.

And if he doeth good, he doeth it unwillingly; And at the last he will declare his wickedness.

And if there be one stiff-necked among the people, It is marvel if he escape unpunished: For mercy and wrath are with him; He is mighty to forgive and to pour out displeasure.

A man that useth much swearing shall be filled with iniquity, And the plague shall never depart from his house: If he shall offend, his sin shall be upon him: And if he acknowledge not his sin, he maketh a double offense: And if he swear in vain, he shall not be innocent, But his house shall be full of calamities.
