And he said, Take thy son, the beloved one, whom thou hast loved—Isaac, and go into the high land, and offer him there for a whole burnt offering on one of the mountains which I will tell thee of.

And Isaac went into the house of his mother, and took Rebekah, and she became his wife, and he loved her; and Isaac was comforted for Sarah his mother.

And Isaac loved Esau, because his venison was his food, but Rebekah loved Jacob.

And Jacob loved Rachel, and said, I will serve thee seven years for thy younger daughter Rachel.

And Jacob served for Rachel seven years, and they were before him as a few days, by reason of his loving her.

And he went in to Rachel; and he loved Rachel more than Leah; and he served him seven other years.

And Leah conceived and bore a son to Jacob; and she called his name, Reuben; saying, Because the Lord has looked on my humiliation, and has given me a son, now then my husband will love me.

Only the Lord chose your fathers to love them, and he chose out their seed after them, even you, beyond all nations, as at this day.

But take great heed to do the commands and the law, which Moses the servant of the Lord commanded you to do; to love the Lord our God, to walk in all his ways, to keep his commands, and to cleave to him, and serve him with all your mind, and with all your soul.

And take ye great heed to love the Lord our God.

Thus let all thine enemies perish, O Lord: And they that love him shall be as the going forth of the sun in his strength. And the land had rest forty years.

Let all those that seek thee, O Lord, exult and rejoice in thee; And let them that love thy salvation say continually, The Lord be magnified.

Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity: Therefore God, thy God, has anointed thee With the oil of gladness beyond thy fellows.

He has chosen out his inheritance for us, The beauty of Jacob which he loved. Pause.

For, behold, thou lovest truth: Thou hast manifested to me the secret and hidden things of thy wisdom.

Thou hast loved wickedness more than goodness; Unrighteousness better than to speak righteousness. Pause.

Thou hast loved all words of destruction, And a deceitful tongue.

But chose the tribe of Judah, The Mount Zion which he loved.

For the Lord loves mercy and truth: God will give grace and glory: The Lord will not withhold good things from them that walk in innocence.

The Lord loves the gates of Zion, More than all the tabernacles of Jacob.

Thy mercy, O Lord, helped me. O Lord, according to the multitude of my griefs within my heart, Thy consolations have soothed my soul.

Ye that love the Lord, hate evil; The Lord preserves the souls of his saints; He shall deliver them from the hand of sinners.

And the king’s honor loves judgment; Thou hast prepared equity, Thou hast wrought judgment and justice in Jacob.

Instead of loving me, they falsely accused me: But I continued to pray.

He loved cursing also, and it shall come upon him; And he took not pleasure in blessing, so it shall be removed far from him.

Alleluia. I am well pleased, because the Lord will hearken To the voice of my supplication.

And I meditated on thy commandments, Which I loved exceedingly.

And I lifted up my hands to thy commandments which I loved; And I meditated in thine ordinances.

How I have loved thy law, O Lord! It is my meditation all the day.

I have hated transgressors; But I have loved thy law.

I have reckoned all the sinners of the earth as transgressors; Therefore have I loved thy testimonies.

Therefore have I loved thy commandments More than gold, or the topaz.

Look upon me and have mercy upon me, After the manner of them that love thy name.

Thy word has been very fully tried; And thy servant loves it.

Behold, I have loved thy commandments, O Lord: Quicken me in thy mercy.

I hate and abhor unrighteousness; But I love thy law.

Great peace have they that love thy law: And there is no stumbling block to them.

I waited for thy salvation, O Lord, And have loved thy commandments.

My soul has kept thy testimonies, And loved them exceedingly.

Pray now for the peace of Jerusalem: And let there be prosperity to them that love thee.

But all sinners he will utterly destroy.

The Lord gives wisdom to the blind: The Lord sets up the broken down: The Lord loves the righteous: The Lord preserves the strangers;

For whom the Lord loves, he rebukes, And scourges every son whom he receives.
